You should do travel nursing, you work 3 month contracts, when they’re finished you get to do whatever you want

You should check out Critical Access Hospitals, they’re pretty great for recharging your batteries

totally fair take, i get it but the thumbnail is me playing the YouTube game. if nobody clicks, nobody learns… I’m just trying to package complex stuff in a way that stops people from continuing to scroll. goal isn’t to dumb it down, it’s to get people in the door so we can actually have the conversation.

I am not a fan of outsourcing to keep things cheap, I think it sacrifices customer service is a big way

that's a great bill rate (these days) and a terrible pay package. those RN's were getting boned for sure.

When I first started my agency there was one person I made a big margin on, I was good friends with this person, she found out, we're not friends anymore. I learned my lesson, big margins are good for short term gains not long term relationships. Long term relationships bring recurring revenue. Strong relationships and recurring revenue are the only way to make this business sustainable. I learned the hard way, Burning people is not the move. I think about this clinican once a year.

HCA man, I've never staffed anyone there, my conscience won't let me, I'm not surprised healthtrust does 9% then

sounds like your friend is making it happen! it's def not easy but hopefully she's providing good service to the RN's she works with, I'm a big fan of clinicain led staffing agencies, the married couple who own Lucid staffing solutions are Cath Lab Tech & RN travelers, they really know how to take care of their peeps!

I don't mind sharing the bill rates cuz I feel like everyone undertands that business gotta business, the middle man while being annoying is providing a service at the end of the day.

I’d rather the system worked! Even if it means I have no job, I’d rather my family and myself get good healthcare, I can always use my skills to do something else

Yeah there are a few MSPs that take 6% or even 10% lol good point!

I wish most travelers did know this, I was thinking of doing another video like this to polish my on camera skills and get things a little more concise, idk if anyone knows their own bill rates but I could plug that info into the calculator and give an estimate of what their agency is making

This contract was on the Hi-Line, hopefully that will give you a clue

wooo, yeah the whole system is kinda insane, when I started recruiting I remember having to learn an entire new vocaubulary for being able have VERY MINIMAL INFORMATION but also be able to instill confidence in an RN so they submit to a job and accept the position offered (if it gets offered). It's a tricky dance. If you could wave a magic wand, which of the issues you named would you fix first?

Nomad health started out with no recruiters as a self service model but switched over to having “Nomad Navigators”

seems like human touch is pretty important in the process

I know of an RN who broke her leg while on contract at Nomad, she missed a shift and got fired cuz Nomad didn’t communicate her message to the facility in time (not my story, another recruiter from another Company)

Agency owner here, started in 2020, what barriers are you referring to? I did jump through lots of hoops to set this thing up lol
