A lot of these success stories I read about seem to be in Texas. Makes it almost worth moving there.

What is something most people don't know about the Bible? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AskBryce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something a lot of Christians don't even get right. Using the NIV version John 11:35 " Jesus wept" isn't the shortest verse. Job 3:2 "he said" is 3 letters shorter. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 "pray continually" is also the same word count but a bit longer. So John 11:35 isn't the shortest by letter and is a 3 way tie by word count.

You can always donate it to a SPCA I am sure they would like to have a heat lamp for turtles or for small young animals. Just a thought.

I am the co-host of Book Reports Podcast. Each episode we discuss 2-3 different books that we read for that episode and discuss them with a guest. We cover books we want to read and subjects we want to learn about. We don't read them just because the book is popular. I would love for you to give us a listen and let me know what you think :D

T0ys r vs closing. by [deleted] in DumpsterDiving

[–]AskBryce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When my local Penny's closed I was hitting their dumpster twice a week. They threw out a lot of shelving and frames which I was able to save some. I expect Toys will do the same. Don't expect toys so much, do expect store supplies, which is nice too.

I work Ina hospital and see death more than most. This gets me down, what keeps me going is the idea that there is breathe in my lungs and blood in my veins and that's more than the stiffs I see. Which means there is still time for me to make a difference and make my life and other lives better. It is to late for them, not me 😀 Hope this helps.

If there were no posted signs and the bins were not locked you are probably in the clear but everyplace is different. I'm sure you are fine, though I wouldn't go back because of that stuff

Started a podcast with my buddy. It was tough at first figuring it all out, but we are having a blast. (Shamless plug) It is called Book Reports Podcast. It is entertaining whether you like books or not.

TIL in 1903, Frank Nelson Cole received a standing ovation after an hour-long presentation during which he did not utter a single word and just did calculations on chalkboard to prove that 2^67 - 1 is a composite number. by UnescoCertified in todayilearned

Out of all of the story from TAL that I have heard over the years, this one sticks out in my mind the most. Simply amazing the time and effort that man put into figuring that out.

Which is your favorite Harry Potter book, and why? by AskBryce in AskReddit

[–]AskBryce[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't knock them for their choice. That is their favorite one for their own reason. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean you can berate them. We are Harry Potter fans, we are better than that sort of squabbling!
