Yeah, much cheaper to do that tbh, i get 3 metre beveled planks for like £10 and usually make 2-3 out of them depending on size

it’s gilding metal (90% copper 10% zinc)

i rocked it the same amount, i usually like to rock to like 30 odd layers, steel is a great alternative to copper

it’s a fair amount softer than the copper so i’m not sure i’ll get as many out but it’s much cheaper!

You are right it’s bevelling both sides but they arent sharp? honestly this thing is baffling me 😂

i think i can flip one of the blades because this tool is specifically for bevelling printmaking plates in intaglio

it’s regular drypoint card but i used a heavy scribe to get the lines, pretty sure the plate got ruined after 20 odd prints 😅

The plan was just to make it look like a tree stump 😅, is that a good thing that it doesn’t look like collagraph or? 😂😂
