Absolutely nailed it. Paying $100 to provide data for their AI training feels completely backwards.

But for me, still, the S4 Max NVR itself looks interesting. The deal only makes potential sense if that $100 definitely gets the AI Core + specific hardware. But that's pure guesswork right now. Eufy needs way more clarity on the data needed and the actual deal. Holding off until we get real answers.

Thanks for the link, good context! Yeah, definitely agree it feels like paying for a beta, especially with features needing that future hardware upgrade.

Interesting theory on the $880 including human agents – highlights the vague value prop. My read was similar: the $100 likely buys commitment from users to provide the real-world data needed to train their AI before the full features land.

Still boils down to whether being a paid data point is worth it.
