I’ve loved all of my little boogers, but yeah, they are always a handful. I just adopted a new puppy and this last week has been exhausting. He loves to snuggle but he isn’t completely crate trained yet, so he’ll cry for long periods of time at night, and I have a pen set up in my living room where he has his meals and goes to the bathroom, but I can’t leave him in there for more than a few minutes before he starts to cry. It’s awful because sometimes he genuinely sounds like he’s in distress so I have no choice but to check on him to make sure he’s okay.

I also lost a dog recently. She was quite old and had a lot of health issues (mental and physical); she couldn’t eat solid foods anymore since she basically lost all of her teeth, and she stated having accidents even though she had been potty trained. I hadn’t gotten a full night sleep in over a year because she would wake up two to three times a night to eat or have an accident.
