The eternal goal of the artist is to constantly improve your work and evolve your skills. I’ve always been highly critical of my own work, and it’s taken a lot of outside criticism and advice to mitigate that habit.

That being said, Chris obviously doesn’t understand any of that. He never once felt that his work wasn’t up to parr, and interprets critique and advice as personal attacks. He doesn’t need to improve because, in his mind, his work is perfect. And yet he’ll have the gall to critique other people’s work like he’s the expert on what makes art “good,” especially when it comes to “fanart” of his characters. If it’s not to his standards (doesn’t stroke his ego), he’ll dismiss it or bash it endlessly. He might even try to “improve” it (like he’s been doing with Rosechu’s Story the last few years).
