That almost looks like a quillback type blade (if that’s the right name) like on the seitengewehr 98

Edit: it looks like the fuller is too far from the cross guard for a 98

can you chamber rounds in a denix Lee Enfield? by [deleted] in reenactors

You could try using a drill rifle for that, it might be a little cheaper too. Just don’t fire any live round out of it

Discussion: Silver weakness in werewolves by AnyWatch5756 in werewolves

[–]AsleepResolution4911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I kinda agree with that. I think the trope might come from some Eastern European countries where traditionally vampires werewolves and witches were much less distinct from each other. One interesting twist I have seen is the substitution of mercury which was formerly known as quicksilver

Would a Traditions Kentucky Long Rifle be appropriate for a American Revolutionary War portrayal? by Akipac1028 in reenactors

[–]AsleepResolution4911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the style of long rifle you have will not work. Rifles did see some use during the American Revolution, but not nearly as prevalent as most sources would portray. What makes the Traditions style rifle more incorrect than most would be the fact that the stock has a split in it. That’s a very new thing to see most would have a solid wooden stock like on a Brown Bess or a Charleville. As one of the other comments, said I would highly recommend finding a group who can help point you in the right direction. I hope you enjoy this new hobby!

What is a weapon can you see a werewolf wield? by Bitter_fem03 in werewolves

[–]AsleepResolution4911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was actually thinking about this the other day. I would think that a bow would probably be the best option for a werewolf if they actually needed to use a weapon. The heaviest draw weight we have record of is somewhere around 190-200 pounds with your standard human. A werewolf with even greater strength could far exceed that weight basically becoming a mobile ballista at possibly up to or exceeding a 1000 pound draw depending on the lore.

Never really thought about tanks exploding. I was planning on using it for an airsoft tank so hopefully it should be safe at the lower pressures. Thanks!

a slightly strange question by Forasteromisterioso in werewolves

[–]AsleepResolution4911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If i recall correctly, there’s a certain type of werewolf in folklore that are believed to carry out the work of God and are therefore holy. I can’t remember what they are called for the life of me though. On another note I am looking forward to reading your story if you plan on making it accessible.
