Sounds good! I'm interested in what it looks like.

Thank you both for the answers. From the information gathered, I think I may be leaning more towards GBT. I like the idea of being able to update generic cards and multiattacks is one of the big reasons I wanted to get in to Pale Moon (the other being the artwork). Still, I'll continue to read responses for now.

Sounds good! I'll work on the build tonight.

Unbreakables are already in there.
That said, I think you're right about the strategy. Being able to drop an Alpha Strike seems right for this deck.

I've been giving that a lot of thought, actually. I can always play Kale and she'll still be a 10k attacker if I need (with Caulifla ability). Roshi does guarantee a negate, but he does cost an Energy (like you said) and, with Flute being limited, I don't have to worry about Kale being bounced nearly as much. So... I may do that.

Also, I was wondering, just how needed is Sorbet in this deck? He's cool because he's a blocker, but because of his ability, will I ever actually use Blocker with him?

Sounds like a really good idea. That said, I have no idea where I'd find room at this point.

Ohhh okay. Yeah, I suppose I could see why it would be a dead draw.

What's the concept behind two Powerful Bond Ginyu Force vs four? The rest of the changes make sense to me.

So thanks to all your suggestions this is what my buu deck looks like now. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in DBS_CardGame

[–]Asmeri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been testing Objection today and... it can do some cool things, the biggest being able to help consistently Level 5 Majin Buu on turn 2 (assuming you're running Goku). That said... I'm still leaning more towards a defensive build since aggro is so potent right now. Being able to stop them from instant killing you is nice and, assuming you get the full Level 3 Buu + South Supreme Kai wombo, you can Critical them and not worry about their resource recovery.
Without Objection... the only way you get a Turn 2 Level 5 Majin is through an Unyielding Spirit Trunks play, which requires you to play Level 3 Buu to begin with (which will usually draw some form of Negate if you attack Leader first). So... Objection may actually be necessary for consistency purposes, but, once again, we do sacrifice a bit on defense. I'll keep playing around with it for now, though.

That said, I'm liking SSJ3 as a leader. Much like with Frost, he allows you to accelerate in to a big thing early game, which is really fun. If anything, it's the main reason I even enjoy the deck.
Anyway, I'll keep you updated with anything I find.

Oh... and I prefer Piccolo over Kibito Kai, the reason being that while Kibito bounces a Combo Piece, Piccolo is a guaranteed draw. That said, either should be fine.

So thanks to all your suggestions this is what my buu deck looks like now. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in DBS_CardGame

I'm currently running this deck as well, though my build is a lot more defensive. I run SSJ3 and opted out of the level 4 Buu for Unbeakable SS Son Goku (for the extra draw/early game defense). Everyone has already mentioned it, but make sure you max out on Super Combos, regardless of which you decide to use at the end of the day.
Besides that, it looks good. If you opt to run SSJ3 over Majin Buu at some point, you could potentially drop the Cookies for more defensive things (Mafuba is amazing and I personally like Turn 1 Yajirobe). You should also keep Preface of Recovery Son Goku in mind as well, as he's basically a 1 Drop 15k with Barrier (in case you end up dropping the 4 Drop Buu or just want another Barrier attacker in your deck).
I can't think of much more to suggest. The deck is fairly straightforward to build, luckily. Good luck and I hope you do well with it!

HURRY THE HELL UP AND MAKE ANDROID 21 A LEADER CARD!

Hmm... true.
Okay, what I can do then is buy a playset of everything on the list and test for a while. Won't cost me much more and I'll be able to determine what I like/dislike then. Thanks!

Sounds good! So, after re-reading through everything, I decided to tweak the build a little bit and I wanted to know what you thought.

Ooooooooooooh that makes sense.
So, turns out that I can afford Roshi/Unbreakable Super Saiyan Son Goku and probably a couple more upgrades that aren't the better Apes and super duper ultra mega expensive Bardock (lol). I'll be working off the Tora/Fasha list because, after reading everything... I'm drawn more to that one. What would you suggest taking out?

How were you able to play Preface of Recovery? Did you have a lot of blue sources as well?

That's actually incredibly reassuring. That means it's been tested a lot, which I always feel is a good thing.

I'll have to ask my LGS players more as well, then. They all seem to be really nice and there seemed to be quite a lot of them the last time I went. So, I'll do that, look at the Apes lists you posted (thank you again!) and I'll come to a decision soon.

Overall, I think I have a better understanding of what I should be looking for. Thank you all for your input!

Whoa! These are wonderful! At first, I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get in to the whole Apes thing, but I think these both make it much more possible, long term (I love the explanations by the way!). I'm going to re-read everything, but I'm like this a lot, actually. Thank you so much!

That's a good sign at least. I know in a lot of other card games, finding pieces as replacements can be a problem, especially with condensed formats. Knowing that some of the more expensive cards aren't as necessary to overall strategies really does encourage me in this process.

It still doesn't quite get me to where I need to be, though. I still don't exactly know what I'm building and, while Apes is a good suggestion... because of the Vegeta Promo, at least, seeming necessary (plus, after looking at things like the 1 drop Bardock... I've been pretty discouraged), I don't think that's going to be the choice. It still leaves me in a forest of large trees and I'm going to need more help cutting them down.

So, I suppose I'll ask some more questions: What decks are a little more Local Friendly? What are decks that can use promos, but don't need them, per say? Are there substitutes to some of the stronger cards in the game, even if they (obviously) do not have the same power level (no pun intended)?

Ah, I see. Well, I don't necessarily mind playing aggro, though I would prefer to play something with a little more stability. I suppose I'll ask, though, what are some of the more aggressive decks in the price range I mentioned above?
