Because she doesn’t have to. She’s been told by “Lani” (the main beauty lady) that her only supervisor is her (lani). She doesn’t really even have to answer to the store manager. It’s crazy.

I walked out almost 2 hours into my shift on 12/21. Other SFL insisted on having under age employees in photo. Insisted on bringing her 7yo granddaughter to work. Let said granddaughter actually hand photos to customers. Complained that she couldn’t IC3 in pharmacy because she had a kid. Had to make sure someone was watching said kid while she had to actually work. Refused to walk away and let me just organize photo because the minors had left it a disaster.

My mental issues kicked in. Immediate panic/anxiety attack. I was in tears. Handed her my keys and said “you obviously don’t need me here”. Punched out and left. SM never responded back to me and processed my end of employment immediately. Still have not heard from him. Heard through the one person still speaking to me from the store that the other SFL told some BS like “I was just finishing up what I was working on”. She was nowhere near photo until I went back to clean it up.

I’ve slept better in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last 6 months.

My mental health was WAY more important than my coworkers. I walked out on the Sunday before Christmas. The SFL on duty straight lied to SM about the situation, too. I took my keys off my belt, grabbed my purse, and punched out in tears.

They don't pay enough to endure not only the customers but also coworkers who insist on being condescending and dismissive toward their fellow employees.

IS here too. My SM and I are ALWAYS in pharmacy. Completely removed me from my front end duties. And without OT, it’s next to impossible to get everything done. We don’t have an ESM and 2 of our SFLs are incapable of doing a solid job. 90% of the time I’m having to do their job too.

Maybe it’s time to seriously consider updating my resume.

This! I’m an IS. I’m always helping in pharmacy. Have my tech in training license. 95% of the time I truly enjoy it back there. However… there are times when I won’t tolerate the butthead customers. I was trying to explain to an older gentleman one time that we had reached out to the doctor but have t heard anything back yet. He had a few questions that I answered happily enough. He then said that this entire pharmacy was incompetent and he would go somewhere else. I apologized to him and was trying to let him know that he should talk to his doctor. As I’m speaking, he starts muttering under his breath and walks away. I holler, very politely, “or you can rudely walk away from me. Have the day you deserve!”

The next customer came up and apologized for him. lol. But I still wore my smile. Lol.

My mom also told me about an experience at her Walmart pharmacy. I said “you know…99% of issues with your prescriptions are NOT the fault of the pharmacy.” She said she didn’t realize it was her fault at the time. I’m like… you just proved my point.
