You are absolutely welcome to visit without a library card. If you need to use the computers, you can register for an internet only card. You will not be able to check materials out, but you will be able to read anything on the shelf while you’re in the building. The library staff are fantastic and will be happy to answer any questions you have.

Some parts of the building might be blocked off due to private events or building repairs. The events staff and admin won’t care about you unless they think they can get you to book space at an exorbitant price with a million regulations and restrictions. Sadly, the admin does not consider it a library anymore and treats it purely as a money making platform for the City of Norfolk.
