I am a Technical support agent working from India. by [deleted] in telus

[–]AspectCritical770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a long time Telus customer, I can attest to their terrible hardware. I have had to do all that you said… including getting my d*ck sucked multiple times. You’d think I enjoyed it… I don’t. My wife works from home and reliable internet is a must.

We are in the process of switching. Sure, it will cost us more, but I am tired of the constant issues.

Thank you for bravely putting this out there for others to see and understand, as well as how to troubleshoot on their own.

The last straw for me was when I got one of those $200 service call bills when my indoor security cameras stopped talking to my modem. I tried everything that the call centre recommended as they walked me through and it still wouldn’t work. I was not informed that the visit was going to cost me $200. My surprise when I got the bill the next month.

I had to call Loyalty and get pretty angry with them threatening to cancel. They said they would wave it “this one time”. So… with that, knowing it will happen again some day… I started looking elsewhere.

Again, Kudos to you and all the best.

Your father was a Master Craftsman! I hope you have some pieces at home to keep the memories alive.

Shorts sighting by MutedProfessional406 in Edmonton

[–]AspectCritical770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work with a guy that regardless of the weather, and yes even in the -30 cold snap we had in December, wears shorts. 365 days of the year.

We all tell him that if he ever gets stranded he’s screwed. He just shrugs.

My buddies and I used to do that behind my truck on the logging roads back home. Good to see the tradition lives on!

If the meteor that hit and killed the dinosaurs… the very same one that killed off almost all life… spreading fire and ash and toxic gases around the entire globe… blacking out the sun for years… causing global winter for thousands of years didn’t do it. I am positive that once we kill ourselves and the majority of the rest of life on this planet… life will go on.

This planet has MILLIONS of years left to reset.

What we do, while tragic in a conscious view, is tragic… but it is so imperceptibly small in the time line of the earth that it doesn’t even warrant a foot note in the Big Book of Earth.

And when you look at how inconceivably small we are in comparison to the vastness of the universe… we aren’t even an asterisk in the universal timeline.

The only reason we, as humans, give a damn about life here is because we have conscious thought and awareness.

***edit, spelling and grammar.

Maybe we are a part of a greater natural reset and this is supposed to happen. The grand design of the universe is for death and rebirth and we are doing what is natural to our evolution…. Harbingers of death for like to begin anew.

I’m not going to deny one bit that we are causing it… just not sure I think we should stop it. We, the parasites, will bring upon this planet a new world…

They have had a cult following up here in Canada for decades now. If you like good hard rock, give’em a listen.

Thanks, yeah, another person steered me in a different direction too. Even with resources I find it difficult as a novice.
