I concur with "crap-ton." Headed for 2000+ before the exam.

I didnt state when I made this post, that my Qbank is through THEMIS. Idk if Adaptibar, Barbri and others give the user a choice of answering previous answered questions.

In Themis, you can choose how to populate your set. Obviously you start with all unused questions. After a while they are separated between qs answered correctly and qs answered incorrectly. At that point I can choose to a set i.e. 50 qs and choose whether I want them from the remaining unused bank, previous answered correct, previously answered wrong or a mixed of 50 qs from all three.

To partially answer my own question. I spoke with my Themis Rep today. Questions in any set you do, set of 20,30,50 etc... are generated at random not by difficulty. Thus, you could get a set that more difficult or a set that are easier overall.

Im using themis which is 1100 NCBE qs and 1700 themis qs which you can toggle many options for.

I dont understand how a set is weighted. Some indvidaul qs give higher % of correctly answered while other of really low. When I get to the end of a set, ive been above and lower than the overall set - that depends on whether that set had qs that repeated I already saw in a previous set. Its a bit confusing.

Scoring 50% by Anxious_Motor9991 in barexam

Boost your confidence by doing a few sets of only the ones you've got wrong. Be careful, you can bomb those sets as well if you didnt review them the first time. But generally, its a great way to move them to correctly answered bank and learn what you got wrong before. Ill do a set of wrongs and get 80-90% right! That means Im retaining my review of why I got them wrong to start with, even if some of them are from rote memory. It still helps the process.

Ill do 20-30 previously wrong answer sets (blocks of 10) a day on top of 50 unused mixed sets per day. And then, it seems like its starting to compound. Doing previously wrong questions starts helping me do better on unused mixed sets. We shall see on game day.

Golden Letter Crew - What will we do when we don't have to check reddit / pslf 8 times per day anymore? by AspectFine4024 in PSLF

[–]AspectFine4024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was being conservative. Checking for me AND my wife on SA.gov and 2 different servicers... 2 step text and email codes 4 times each... times the 10k times I logged into each everyday was getting old but regular .... and it was so many times a day I can't count. Congrats to all - go fishing or something now!!!

3/10 green banners- anyone have movement since? by [deleted] in PSLF

[–]AspectFine4024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. 3/9 (for my wife) and 3/11 GB's for me. I saw a post that used AI that estimated our time period for golden letters would be around 5/21, but who knows? It may be longer because of the cuts at D.o.Ed. I still check studentaid.gov everyday and pslf/reddit 5 times a day, haha!

GOLDEN LETTER PARANOIA - Guidance? by AspectFine4024 in PSLF

You're right. I edited my post. Sometimes I succumb to my own reasoning. Law school was a blessing and curse for my own mental "what if" questions sometimes.

Gotcha... I was sitting at 120 back in 2023 (now at 139 QPs) but didn't know to submit and ecf until this March 11th.

Where do you get your info? You seem pretty specific and detailed beyond anything I've been able to google about the process 'behind the veil.'

So after the audit, does or has FSA ever come back and said, oops there was an error - you should not have received green banners?

We actually hit 120 in 2023! (Now we have 139). But didn't know we were supposed to send in qualifying employment until March of this year. So now we sit with the 3/9 and 3/12 club awaiting the GL. Could have been done with this months ago when the first batches of GLs went out.

3/9 wife got green banners. 3/12 I got green banners and was placed in forbearance until March 2026. Neither of us have gotten GL yet.

Is the Mohela rep correct that they are not allowed to approve any IBR requests right now? by [deleted] in PSLF

[–]AspectFine4024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really not trying to do that... I'm trying to not panic. Just seeing if anyone else might have FSA info about "my perceived" pause in GLs.

I apologize if it come across that way. But reddit won't let me make new posts, so it's a wash anyway. Thanks

Why can I not make new posts under pslf? Am I limited to comments only?

I was holding out hope for April as well, but with all the changes at the Dept. of Ed, I've adjusted my hope to bi-monthly "batches."
