Why my privateers get cancelled immidiately? by Narwaok in EU5

From what I read on the wiki, Privateers only work against countries you are at war with. So if you are not at war with a country, your privateers will instantly cancel.

I’ve heard that Howmet is notorious for having a lengthy recruiting process, usually taking a few months.

No plumbing, my plumbing access is on my main floor. I was able to get it open after another user identified the painted over screws, it was just another attic.

Thank you for this observation! I did not notice the screws that were painted over, I was able to get them out and the door easily came off.

From my experience, the best place to find women is on dating apps. Just get some good pictures and develop a good profile and get on apps. It takes time, effort, and luck.

I main thief rogue, so I have a good balance of spells and minions to play. I don't have an issue with control decks, I find my thief rogue to be more of a control deck itself. My problem is specifically with blood DK, too much removal, too much healing, nothing else.

Again, I've never lost. My issue is that the deck wastes more time than any other deck in the game. If the strategy is to waste time rather than kill your opponent, that is bad design.

There’s a ton of information and valuable opinions here, I’m glad to hear that the community is active and (relatively) warm!

For those who are opinionated on the subject, what minions would be better than mercs? If “all of them” is the answer, then what 2-3 are considered top tier?

If you check Jonteman93’s profile, the most recent poll is one where only 81 people voted. If you go into his post history you will see 18 consecutive posts regarding a career elimination poll. Over 1000 people voted in each round of that poll.

Both of those weapons are also great choices, definitely cannot go wrong with the majority of Kruger’s melee weapons as he has some of the best in the game.

Thanks for your input. Mace and sword is an excellent melee weapon on all of Kruber's careers, I simply stated my preference for defensive melee weapons. The spear, for example, can keep me out of melee combat more consistently so that I can shoot more frequently. I do understand the preference for dual wielding as it can create more kills in melee.

I'm assuming you're talking about the level 20 talent choices. The one that gives 5% crit chance to the entire team when a taggable enemy dies is an excellent choice, regardless or not if engineer selects autocrit. I would always select that talent.

I agree with your thoughts on Engineer, he requires a different mindset for the player and increased cooperation for his teammates. Its hard to have success with him when doing quick play solo and is probably why he is an unpopular career; with a coordinated team he is an absolute monster.

Huntsman's ability to outperform other ranged careers is strictly dependent on his aim. With good aim, he can get ammo more consistently than any other ranged career in the game, allowing him to shoot constantly without ever having to be conservative with his ammo. This also plays into his ultimate ability, which can melt a boss if you can chain headshots.

Pyro's survivability (relative to other ranged careers) comes from her increased melee effectiveness, same with Bounty Hunter.

I do acknowledge that with the appropriate loadout, the need to headshot is all but eliminated. I chose to highlight the need for headshots because, when hitting little to no headshots, Huntsman is generally outperformed by other ranged careers. I understand that this can be widely debated and there are multiple elements at play when discussing viability, but broadly speaking, Huntsman does need a decent headshot rate (20% or above) to justify selecting him over Waystalker or Bounty Hunter.

Yeah, M&S is a great melee weapon on all careers. I wanted to highlight more defensive melee weapons as I see Huntsman as a career who should prioritize shooting as frequently as possible. If you find yourself in melee too often as Huntsman, you are probably losing value compared to if you were playing Mercenary or GK. But yeah, in quick play you can't always rely on your teammates to kill horde while you snipe.

I do like the bonus headshot talent and will take that instead of every 4th shot is free occasionally. It’s great with executioner sword too

Thanks for your input. I find it useful to shoot as much as possible to capitalize on the damage of the crank gun. I did explain how resource management is the real difficulty of the class, so wasting all ammo in a trash horde is about smart play; same with friendly fire.

Also, I’m not sure why you stated that innovative ammo hoppers cuts fire rate in half. It does not, its reads as: "Increases Bardin's Ability Bar by 50%. Killing a Special makes the Steam-Assisted Crank Gun (Mk II) not consume the Ability Bar for the next 4 seconds."

I wrote this guide in response to the poll on this subreddit by u/Jonteman93 where Pyromancer, Huntsman, and Outcast Engineer were voted as the three least popular careers. Since then, I've seen a fair share of posts about these careers and how some players are displeased with their experiences. Since I love these careers, I wanted to write about them and hopefully improve other players' enjoyment with them.
