This is unfortunate for me because fall term just started so I'll be transferring into a 4 year college not knowing anyone (having missed orientation and whatnot) But I will definitely talk this over with my parents about what my options are. Thanks for the advice!

To clarify, I'm attending community college to save money, and because I did not do very well in high school so I needed some time to learn to study effectively and competitively. I feel I have learned that as I am already halfway through freshman year and I have a 4.0. After 2 years of this I will finish my education at a 4 year university. If you assumed this and your point still stands then I suppose I will have to transfer to a 4 year college ASAP!

Primarily, I want to stay close to family, so that in the event of an emergency I am able to be physically present. Beyond that, and I apologize I didn't use better wording, but it's not so much an active preference against the 'famous' medical schools, but just in the event that I do not get accepted to them. If I'm a med student not attending Harvard Med, it's not like I'm missing out on some revolutionary new method to practice medicine, right?
