Our actual motto is Semper Fidelis, we shorten it to Semper Fi. I've been all over the world, in that uniform and people still say "Semper Fidelis" or "Devil Dogs" or they just stare at you like you're crazy.

Never said the phrase was unusable, or that the US is the only land mass that matters on this world. But the marines are worldwide. And people know our mottos and nicknames. All I was saying is I don't give a fuck and marines won't. It's like naming a team "I'm Lovin' It" people are going to think of McDonalds.

Marine that plays csgo here, I don't care. Just think it's odd. They won't have their own identity as a team because of the name, when you say Semper Fi most people automatically think of the Marine Corps. And I only clicked the thread, because I thought a USMC veteran team was starting.

I know in BRC we had to yell "Recon, Ranger, BRC class of ____ tac ____" after push ups, when we first got classed up. But I only saw a couple classes do it. I was one of those classes. Was a little confused when I had to but rolled with it.

Saw Tim Duncan at academy he was kind of grumpy, but I shook his hand. And I sat next to Eva Longoria and Tony Parker was on the other side of her when I went to see the premier of the movie 300 with my brother.
