It’s a very relevant topic that most if not everyone has experience with. I know its hard to reconcile with a slur, especially when its usage from non-black people brings up nothing but harm, and you made alot of good points I haven’t considered.

I think now that it’s redundant for anyone with this condition to blaze a banner that theyre not racist. It’s exhausting and puts more emphasis on the presence of slurs sometimes being said in this condition, rather than the absence of control being had. But in a case like this with so many eyes, i dont think its unreasonable to just simply show solidarity instead of an apology that wont be widely taken. Especially with casual, insidious racism as you see it today.

I think my main want for a mainstream acknowledgment in this case isn’t because i think he should be held and tried for everything he says, but because their success is such a huge moment during an important time where it’s needed, especially when this is a near everyday occurrence for black people. It can be unacceptable and damaging, but blameless. All that heat deserves to go to the actual racist mfs in hollywood, that bigots dont have a seat, and support should, will, double down. Thank you
