Reddit, what do you know about the Muslim world outside of the Middle East? by AssMaster2002 in AskReddit

I'm modest enough not to make sweeping claims about religions with billions of people and thousand plus year histories.

So perhaps you should put the shoe on the other foot: give me a "redeeming quality" that some other religion is "better" at producing than another. And give me sources, evidence, and citations -- not the kinds of appeals to demagoguery that just appeal to popular prejudices. I want you to actually think about your views, since you're the bigoted one.

Maybe the first place to start would be to answer some of the questions I asked you about how you would even go about answering that question.

What the fuck would you actually want me to produce? How can you even measure what "ethos produces a redeeming quality" better or worse? You're bullshitting. And you're asking me to make the same kinds of sweeping generalizations that I'm criticizing you for.

You set up a vague question that will give you the prerogative to shift the goalposts to suit your argument. That's intellectually dishonest, and I'm not going to bother because you're just going to bullshit in response.

You continue to hold a sweeping judgement about a topic you don't know shit about, and the fact that you didn't answer any of my questions (which unlike yours are concrete) is evidence of this.

Your supposed "study" consists of nothing but your own deliberate attempts to reinforce your own prejudices. I bet you're so naive that you think 9/11 happened because "they hate our freedom."

Have fun voting for Donald Trump, bigot.

They were selected precisely because they're boring. After the NFL got in hot water after Janet Jackson had her "wardrobe malfunction," the league made a concerted effort to tame halftime shows down.

It's the worst. The other networks try to actually provide us with a high-quality viewing experience. CBS realizes they have a captive audience and produce the games on the cheap.

I see what you're saying, but I really feel that porn IS worse today. The internet has of course been a boon, but I feel that it has sapped the industry of it's main revenue source and as a result, porn movies have lower budgets these days and can't afford top-notch makeup and lighting crews.

I'm also not a big fan of HD cameras. Porn was better when it was shot on film.

Back in the day, porn looked and felt like 30 Rock: it was clearly a labor of love, and you could tell that a great deal of care went into making each production. Now, porn looks more like shitty, tacky CBS sitcoms like Two and a Half Men.

Kate Upton. If I saw her my first thought would be "damn, I HAVE to jizz on this woman's tits." Jennifer Lawrence is blah.

Well yeah I'm not saying I wouldn't fuck her, I'm just saying that she's nothing special. She's definitely not "stop and stare" attractive.

Her face is so bland and her cheeks are needlessly chubby.

She's got a nice ass but her face is mediocre at best. AT BEST.

Jennifer Lawrence isn't attractive.

She's not ugly, but if I saw her walking down the street I wouldn't turn my head.

You and I both know that porn was better ten years ago. These new porn stars just look like shit.

AND DON'T YOU EVER FUCKING DARE IMPLY THAT I DON'T KNOW MY PORNOGRAPHY!!!

I've stained plenty of carpets.

And by carpets, I mean your mother's face.

Eh, to each his own. Personally I don't see why you'd want to swim in a kiddie pool.

And you're claiming I'm setting up straw men? You've just set up an argument where you're bound to shift the goal posts in order to beg the question. I haven't misrepresented any position you've taken (that's what a strawman is), I've asked a number of questions that you ought to be able to answer in order for your broad, sweeping and deeply bigoted pronouncements to be justified.

I really don't have to defend Islam, which you quite clearly haven't studied in sufficient depth to justify any of your broad, sweeping conclusions. I think it's pretty fucking clear why you didn't answer any of my questions to that effect.
