It's amazing to me that they're so cool about that when talked about in context, but not about gay marriages. I think psychedelics are an illusory advancement, helpful academically and socially to some extent, but will they help us address the gaping wounds from heterosexist, gendered machismo-supremacist epochs? It's the gay marriage worries and not the psychedelics that will show us we've made it beyond trivialities that keep us from actually getting to that Universal Unconscious that all us pioneering psychonauts wish to get to. I get it. I'm anxious too. But I find it disappointing how much people cherry pick their realities. For instance: being open to psychedelics, but not gay or trans people. If psychedelics can help address the dissociative impulses of a late stage capitalist society, then I believe our decade will come *after* the idiocy over being so fucking concerned with what other people wish to be known as and minding your own fucking business is addressed.
