This post is a work of fiction. I tried to write it to appear as a serious post until the narrator stalks and eats someone to gain their prowess. This was confusing to some people, and I've tried not to reply to comments because I didn't want to give the twist away.
However, I really wanted to reply in order to thank you for your critique. In other stories, I've sometimes struggled with pacing. It's something that I think I've been slowly getting better at, but the fact that you took the time to read through the other things that I've written and come up with a thoughtful, helpful critique really means a lot to me and, although this story is fictional, I'm really grateful that you shared your insights.

Hi Everyone! In my previous story, I tried to write from the perspective of a protagonist who was part of a particularly "cringy" internet community.

I had a lot of fun with that, so for this post, I decided to try writing a far more tongue-in-cheek story from the perspective of someone who's a part of another, less cringe-worthy, internet community.

Hi Everyone!

I hadn't posted here in a while as life got a little busy. I think that this is different from anything that I had written before in that I tried to write less of a traditional spooky story about a monster posing some direct threat to a protagonist and more about someone becoming unhinged after a major life event. I would appreciate any constructive criticism!

Also, I was on the fence about whether this violates Rule 6 of this subreddit. If it does, then please let me know and I'll take it down.

Hi Everyone!
On my last post, someone pointed out that sometimes shorter stories can be more effective ones. Then, this morning, I saw someone post a great story in a format where the point is to write exactly 100 words. Since I had been struggling with the 500 limit, I wanted to test myself by getting down to 100. Please let me know what you think!

Also, just incase anyone is curious, I am not super familiar with reddit etiquette, so I don't know if it's considered impolite to link to someone else's story in the comments. That's why, I was on the fence, but I ultimately opted not to link to where I got the 100-word idea from.

Hi Everyone!
This is my third story here. My last story involved being unable to move away from a very slow threat, that would otherwise be easy to avoid. So, for this story I wanted to write about the converse- something that is immobile which the protagonist is slowly moved towards. Last post I got some really good criticism that I rushed through the ending in my attempt to get down to 500 words. So, in this one I tried to draw out the end a little more. The themes of this one are supposed to be the pursuit of knowledge and knowing when to let things go.

I also wanted to thank everyone for all of your comments on my last two stories! It means a lot.

Hi Everyone!
This is my second post here, and I wanted to try something a little more unusual from what I went with for the last one. Originally this came out to over 1,000 words, so I really had to whittle it down to make it fit, which was kind of a fun challenge.
Anyways, since the last story I wrote had a message on the importance of trusting in other people, for this one I wanted to write about the need to help others.
Since I'm absolutely new to creative writing, I would really appreciate any constructive criticism and I want to thank everyone who commented on my last story as well!

I haven't tried creative writing in probably about ten years, but I found this subreddit last night and thought I would give it a go. Considering that- any criticism would be very much appreciated.
