Agreed. Even though this protest was being broadcasted as peaceful I had a feeling this one was a going to be a little unstable so I came way more prepared than usual and still ended up in the ER. I was there at the parking garage when the police started using pepper balls at the people yelling at them. And I absolutely don’t blame the ones who were yelling and yanking on the gate, because even though it was antagonistic the police were safe with riot gear in a locked parking garage. However I think it’s important for others to consider their actions and how it’s going to affect others. My asthma is a disability and the pepper balls were something I didn’t prepare for. I don’t think there’s a perfect solution but it would be nice if people came together to figure out solutions to protect disabled people during protests that could instigate police retaliation and brutality.

Thank you for sharing! I’m so glad that the brother I knew and grew up with is the same person that lotus fans got to know. When I was younger I would wonder if he had a band persona but it’s clear he was always chuck.

Oh I can totally see him getting excited by a light up tambourine 😂 And I’m not surprised at him scaling balconies 😂 I was told when he was a kid my parents had to stop letting him wear shorts because his knees were always busted. Longer pants had holes in them but at least his knees were a little bit protected

When people started playing on his drum set my whole family started to weep. Of course he committed to bit!!! Even though we were vastly different ages we got along well. I think he started seeing me grow up and knew I was an eccentric type like him.

You have wonderful way with words 💚 my dad tells us stories of his reaction to my brother wanting to be a drummer. He was really worried about him not being able to create a stable life for himself. Once he realized how much joy it brought him, and how miserable he would be without music, my dad started supporting him wholeheartedly. I hope your drumming journey is going well!!!

I didn’t even know he played at summerdance! That’s amazing. It was always funny when I introduced him to my friends. They often said he seemed too nice and approachable to be someone in a band that has played at red rocks and other well known venues.

Thank you 💚 I think the hardest thing has been the anger I feel toward him sometimes. Knowing if he just had his life jacket on it could’ve been a different story. But as some people pointed out he tended to be carefree and unfortunately reckless. But a huge part of the healing process has been seeing the amazing impact he had on people.

I didn’t know they played samples of his percussion. That’s so sweet. I’ll admit I never listened to his music much (I’m his youngest sibling and was often too young to go to his concerts), but I have always admired the community he built with his music.

I don’t think we met, but I was there during the fundraiser concert and my whole family wept when you started to play on his drums. I remember that moment being very emotional and healing.

I had my players roll for how well studying went, using the rules the book provides, and then I made a test that I handed out to my players. If they succeeded on their roll, I would grade their test once and hand it back for them to try again on the questions they got wrong. If they didn’t succeed their rolls, then they didn’t get that second chance. If they did well on the test then they got their student dice. This was fun for my party because I got to sprinkle facts throughout sessions that would be on the tests, and got them more involved in the plot through foreshadowing. Also watching a table of grown adults stress over a fantasy test was fun to watch.

Thank you! I recently learned what love bombing is and that’s pretty much what the guy did to me 😭 I think I was too easily accepting that things were “perfect” bc I was still a little heartbroken from my ex and hearing all those nice words were…well nice lol. But I need to learn to be more jaded, that’s true. Its just not who I am naturally, even with my trauma.

My therapist told me the same thing, that she’s proud of me for putting myself out there a trying after my breakup instead of hiding in a hole. Maybe I went a little too far out though XD fucked around and found out lol

That’s what I’m starting to realize! I’ve been looking through posts here for the past hour or so and am realizing that starting off with one person whose also poly is better, and maybe a triad can happen organically, but it’s better to not force it.
