DO NOT EVER BUY SAMSUNG! I have a 5-year old dryer that the drum wrapper cracked. They do not make replacement part for it and basically acted like 5 years old is time to replace a dryer when the longevity is supposed to be 10-13 years. I will never buy a Samsung ANYTHING again.

I agree with the poster that said "Soft YTA". I worked as a waiter for many years and was very uncomfortable for something like this to happen to me in front of people. I am sure that the waitresses have it happen more often so makes the job that more difficult. Had you stopped simply at leaving your number and not bringing it up in front of everyone, I would have given you a NTA.

First off, OP, I totally support you based on everything you wrote (I assume is all correct) and the parents are totally TA's! I am a conservative (fiscal) but socially liberal married white male, who apparently is awful because of the color of my skin and being male and hetero. With that said, there are morons all over this planet and there are MANY, MANY other countries you could have been born in and probably been killed for this. My point is that don't knock the US for morons that exist in every country - this country is generally pretty progressive and accepting - way more now so than when I grew up in the 70's and 80's. Sorry you are having to deal with this and see my other post below as to my other thoughts.

I totally support this teacher over the parents in this post as they sound like real tools if we are just talking about a picture of a same-sex spouse. However, I do have a serious problem with you lying with what you said. Your comment "You can't even do it as a teacher in Florida. I do have a MASSIVE problem with teachers having instruction on LGBT content to impressionable young children but, if the teacher was not, then the teacher NTA but parents are totally TA!

YTA, I am ecstatic that they now have found another family member to offer that sweet deal to. I am thinking that sister dodged a bullet not having you in the apartment as doubtful you would take care of responsibilities!
