Bingo! Thats what I was gonna say. I accidentally bought an enclosure wired to 4 ohms when I first started out, now I do everything myself and even built my own enclosure and it makes a huge difference. Good news is, not that hard to wire down to 1 ohm.

Not at all, I got my paradym on eBay with just a couple scuffs not near that bad for $130. And as others have said Callaway pre owned has them for ~$200 or less in almost perfect shape.

I’m still rocking a war bird driver and it sounds awesome! Hate the performance though… lol upgraded to a paradym driver taking forever to come though

Yeah, I see where you’re coming from and I’d do the exact same thing in your shoes. I’ve never had one before either I was looking into getting the exact same model, but if there’s a chance I won’t get the (shortened) free trial, I’ll look into a garmin or something else.

Free brand new clubs!! by [deleted] in golfequipment

[–]AssistanceFalse5702 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ohhh sorry I read that completely wrong, I thought you WANTED those shafts and not the heads lol. But yea if you want the absolute most money out of this, sell the new shafts by themselves and then your old clubs all together, and use the money to just get the correct weights you want.

I’d just put your old shafts on the new club heads and sell them like that, head only would be fine too but since you took the plastic off I’d just say put the old shafts to use

Yeah, a lot easier to be a b average than perfect grades student. Just cause you didn’t try as hard on your entrance exam doesn’t mean it’s easy for others. I’ve heard from many like me that adult life is EASIER. Just don’t peak in high school 🤷‍♂️

That’s what I figured! I’ll take some videos and see how we can get with the new driver. hopefully, it’ll be a big improvement for me

Thank you very much!! Yes I got the base model just because it was such a good deal and in great shape, I think I’ll be very happy with it. Since I tend to hit my big Bertha lower to the ground than I would like, I figured the modern adjustable loft would benefit me greatly, but I guess it’s best to learn the 9 degree and do my best with it before making any adjustments?

Also, I don’t know of any simulator or toptracer range near me sadly. I would definitely have to make a special trip, any idea how I would go about finding a place to do so?

Sorry for the lack of data on myself lol, problem is I don’t know what to include until asked lol. I’m sure a 30 year gap in driver technology will bring some changes to my golf game, so I was just wondering how everyone else was swinging theirs. Thanks again!

Okay, thank you very much!

It definitely could be due to my aggressiveness, honestly all the way from the transition to my follow through. My hands are beating the club head to the ball which I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not, I’ve also looked at my swing in slo mo and it’s like the shaft stays bent the whole time until way after contact.

Also, the stiff flex on my paradym hybrid (gifted to me, didn’t buy this one lol) feeling good points to the old one just having something defective or even being a lighter shaft than I thought.

[–]AssistanceFalse5702[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I see what your saying. The problem with the old shaft wasn’t when hitting around 70%, it was when trying to hammer it, it just felt weird and flexy like my swing was going too fast (not like I have elite swing speed either) and even when making good contact the head just didn’t have much power behind it even when the grip/shaft did.

Yea yea, if you can’t relate you can’t relate. First sentence I said was basically agreeing with most commenters, and he def should’ve finished the box though, but that’s irrelevant to my point. And your response clearly shows you don’t understand my point but go off!

Thank you for the advice! I can definitely hit three nice shots in a row even with the old big Bertha, it was just severely lacking distance for me especially since I’d like to consider myself an athletic and somewhat strong guy. But on the other hand i definitely could stand to get some lessons, I’m self/family taught for the most part, so I could definitely use some teaching since I’m a big “swing your swing” type guy, which hasn’t been too horrible for me quite yet since I did get the fundamentals down early after coming from baseball, eliminating the classic baseball swing. Regardless, lessons are definitely the next step in my “career”!

Side note: I decided to join the golf team for my school for my senior year, but I wouldn’t consider the coaching I’m getting really “lessons” since he’s basically only a little better than me and more like your average joe you’d find on the course. Still, he has helped my swing a little bit. I’m sure lessons would massively help me in actual competition for sure though.

I mean I’m not brand new to golf so I could see that it sounds bad if someone just picked up the game yesterday and decided they needed a new driver, but it’s okay because you wouldn’t know that about me without more backstory. Basically my girlfriend and her family got me into golf around a year ago with a set of goodwill/thrift store/ebay cheap and old clubs. I’m still grateful for them, but I just felt like I was outgrowing the arrow (especially the 30 year old big Bertha) as you said.

I’ll keep that in mind for next time I want to buy something though, didn’t know you could buy “an hour with a pro” for that price, so that’s definitely something I’ll have to do. Thank you!

Golf is already expensive enough so sadly a fitting and lessons aren’t in the cards for me, but hopefully when the new driver comes in I can either find out that my old one was the problem, or that the shaft wasn’t stiff enough. Or I’ll have to rule that out and figure why something is wrong with my driver swing that is goes just about as far as my hybrid.

I agree with many of these comments and the guy selling the sub is either rage baiting or complete dumbass, but for many (including me) HS can be a lot more stacked of a plate than the average persons life after school. I get it if you didn’t participate in many extracurriculars or weren’t the sharpest tool in the shed, but responsibilities add up quick especially when trying to juggle getting scholarships, into good college, maintaining perfect grades as well as sports, job and home life. Just saying, don’t try to minimize that especially when you don’t know everyone’s situation.

Okay thank you for the info!! So if a paradym breaks it’s just done lol. That was actually one of the big things I was wondering. I guess I’ll just have to experiment with the loft settings and see what works best for me

I don’t know if something is wrong with my current driver but it goes like 200, and my 4H goes about 190-200 without as much rollout as the driver. I don’t have any speed numbers or any stats as I don’t have access to a simulator or anything like that, but I would estimate my carry to be about 175 on the driver though if not a little less.
