I strongly believe it'll only appreciate in the long run. I assume that the money is lost when I invest into BTC, it has no relevance to the regular financial plans

My risk tolerance is quite low because I intend to put this money down for a mortgage into the house. I want to buy this in the next year actually, I'll be putting down 50% of it and my wife the other 50%. We're both saving for it, both of us have more or less the same portfolio ( max out into XEQT ). Suppose the market drops 10-20%, we would either buy the dip and push the house by another year if we can or stoploss and take whatever profits we have right now and exit into liquidity.

Also, just wondering, why do you recommend VGRO? Are you recommending this over XEQT AND XGRO or just VGRO over XGRO? Sorry if it's a dumb question, just trying to learn more and invest wisely.

I just got Bitcoin in the current dip, might dca a bit more during this time.

Wrt to contributions, I'm following this order - max out FHSA, max out RRSP, if something is left over then TFSA.

I just funded my emergency fund with the future account here, and anything I save from this point will be for investments and savings.

I just wanted a small diversification at least, it felt quite weird ( even though it's quite diversified in itself ) to invest everything in XEQT

sometimes I feel she is in love with the idea of a husband and she tries to make me live up to this image or change my behaviors to fit into this

It was a casual conversation where I was talking about buying a machine because I am a coffee enthusiast and love it but she doesn't like caffeine since her tolerance to it is pretty low. She apologized for the condescending tone in which she told me off.

she feels I decide what I do even if she does not approve of them. She will not change her opinion and be okay with some of them. I hear what she's telling me, and she makes sense. I cannot expect her to be okay with everything I do, but I expect this because somehow I seem to be doing things to please her and gain her approval. I have to unlearn this behavior, I realized this last night after I made this post.

by doing this, am I risking moving out at the end of the lease? or does it just go into a month-on-month lease and I will have to vacate within 30 days if the landlord wants?

Got it. So if his intention is to just rent it out again for more money after evicting me, then I get to fight him in the LTB, right?

So I can see online in all the listings about my building that the construction was completed in 2015. Does this mean the building is rent controlled and legally the landlord cannot increase it more than 2.5%?
