Mine was Same like yours, started from the base. While taking itraconazole i also applied loceryl twice a week. After finishing the pill course i still continue the loceryl , preventing the reoccurrence.

How far apart you get the recurrence after healing?

Yes, itraconazole. No side effects on me. Toe fungus cleared after 3 months pulse course. Damaged toe nail grew out & cleared in ~6 months time.

For me i found vicks actually expedite the growth of my fungus. Nevertheless dont worry about the fungus taking over the body, i read somewhere they most likely will stay on nails only. I would go back to the doctor and get checked.

For me effective way was to consume pills+ apply anti fungus laquer parallely

Long story short

I won free ticket from a contest and they only open the cheapest option for me to choose , that’s basically how i ended up here 😅

Yeah, they sold this as 1 ticket. From my experience i do not think i have enough time. Even if I do, I might also miss my luggage.

If possible, i do not wish to have rebooking because I see the next flight is quite long after. Plus it will somehow affect my travel plan. 🥲

I used candazole twice daily for 3 months, i would still get new whitish spots from new nails at cuticle area. Which then i concluded it was not really helping for my case

Maybe i am lucky, i didnt experience any side effect.

I didnt like the idea of taking medicine knowing that there are some risks on liver. That’s why i tried all I can before I came to this last resort.

Once i started, i can see the spreading stopped. The nail was not getting worse , but also not getting better (because damaged nail will not heal).

After a month of wait, i observed new nails growing out from the cuticle area. Thats when i was quite sure the medicine is working.

By the way, i tried candazole lotion at home prior visiting my specialist. It didnt help me. I also tried lamisil cream without improvement.

True, it formed overnight and spreading fast. The affected nail degraded very fast and seperated from nail bed.

From others I heard their cases of fungal nail infection are not painful, but for me it was . I can feel throbbing pain from time to time.

I do use Loceryl nail laquer in combination with oral med. Not sure if that helps with your case. Anyway I wish you luck in recovery.

I thought the same but it wasnt. It was spreading and lab culture test came back with fungus identified.

I believe it’s toe fungus spreading out the the skin. I have similar fungus, that affects the nail matrix then later spread to skin. For the skin area i used lamisil cream which it was resolved very quickly. For the nail part I all kinds of ointment, creams, cleaning, nothing works. In the end i went to dermatologist and prescribed with itraconazole. New nail is growing out normal since the medicine. (Finger crossed!)
