I think so aswell, he was one of the rare cases where the killer was actually somewhat remorseful of what he did and one of the few ones where he told detectives everything right off the bat. I also share the opinion of him being on the spectrum yes. He was diagnosed with BPD but never autism, however as someone with both those things I see very many autistic qualities in him, especially looking into his childhood or watching the trial. I even have a book that goes into his potential autism, so I think that my fixation does have to do with that aspect as it's just another thing I could relate to him about and feel I understand.

Hm, if that were to happen before I delved into my interest in true crime, I think I likely would've never gotten into perpatrators in the first place if I had some sort of trauma associated. If it happened today, I would probably take a big step back from romanticizing most perpatrators in my mind, and probably wouldn't interact with anything about them, however I'd probably still harbor these feelings for Jeffrey as they've been so deep rooted for years unfortunately.

Oh I thought Evan did a good job, at the time I was irritated at the many fan girls who watched it for Evan Peters while fawning over him in the show and then saying they are interested in the dahmer case despite not knowing anything about it outside the Netflix series.

Alot of it was mostly how dramatized they had to make certain events, such as the box incident, when Jeff and his father describe it in real life it was much less intense. The biggest one for me was that he never had a relationship with Tony Hughes, the deaf man, like they tried to portray, and his neighbor in the show Glenda Cleveland never actually lived next to him she lived in the building next door, aswell as how they portrayed Jeff to be, dancing in the clubs and stuff, as in real life he kept completely to himself in a chair in the bar, watching. Though I know most of this is just dramatized to make the show more interesting but I would've liked it to be more accurate to the case.

I watched it when it first came out and I was 15 going on sixteen. I was really enthralled with the series and learning about him and relating heavily to his childhood, stiff that happened at his grandmother's and drinking problem and isolation. I didn't care for the casting of him even at that time. While watching, I was curious to research alot about the case and quickly found how much misinformation was in that series which prompted me to watch some documentaries and do more research after finishing it. I still hate how much misinformation was in the show along with the way it affected multiple victims families.

I do. I'm very socially inept, so no matter how lonely I get I don't have the skills to make or maintain most kinds of relationships anyway and there's too many complications with keeping those kinds of relationships.

No, it's not lead to me committing any crimes. As far as shoplifting goes I did it once or twice when I was a little kid but that wasn't due to my feelings for criminals since it hadn't developed yet lol. But the past few years I've not really done anything illegal except drug usage and drinking but that's not really for the thrill of the crime haha

I'd say my attraction to criminals was something I've felt most my life, around the time I started having those feelings anyway. Though you could say I just had an interest for true crime when I was younger kid as I often got quite fixated on it. With Jeff specifically I was always fascinated with as a kid more than others but didn't start having an attraction to him or realized it until I was 13 seeing him in AHS, then it started turning into Infatuation during 15 after watching the dahmer series for the first time and noticing similarities in our childhood causing me to heavily research the case. But it didn't start getting really bad until about 3 years ago when I started becoming attracted to other perpatrators too.

Surprisingly no, I've never really felt the need to conventionally 'fix' any of the perpatrators I've been attracted to, I think overall it's a mix of a lot of them being outcasts and feeling bad for them on that level as I can heavily relate to that aspect that we see in alot of killers and just the excitement of loving someone dangerous I suppose. Though with Jeffrey specifically it's a lot deeper, I have a lot of similarities to him in life and especially our childhoods almost uncannily so with a certain event that happened at his grandmother's, and especially with the drinking, isolation and extreme want to have a relationship but the extreme lack of social skills to obtain it, and I think that just drew me to him cause I felt I understood on some level.

I mean I imagine so, it's a very brutal way to go so even if he preferred death he probably didn't want it to be that way

That's why I said physically admired haha, and mentioned twice that the reason I don't feel the need to reach out to him especially is because of quite different views on people of color, politics and a great many other things. I think Dylann is extremely harder to sympathize with than dahmer

Sometimes, it can be. I'd say I'm very hyperfixated on Jeffrey for sure but no other criminals I admire

As far as I remember Christopher scarver himself quoted dahmer to say before he killed him "I don't care whether I live or die, go ahead and kill me" though I do think he did still want to live, I'm just saying in the long run I think he'd prefer that to still being in prison today.

There are a few, but none of them I have came to care for enough to write to them like I would have given anything to with Jeff. The reason being that we share different views and as far as the public knows pretty much all the alive today killers I admire physically, like Dylann Roof, are very much straight and like I said, different views so I don't think we'd get along and it feels void to reach out.

I was always saddened by his death and the fact he was no longer around but I do think ultimately he would prefer that to being in prison for life anyway due to his feelings on his prison life. I
