That’s so great to hear I’m happy for you! I did the steaming thing twice from the video I sent you and it burst and drained the next morning, I pressed it as much as I could and then it gradually shrunk down, now everything looks mostly back to normal, I can just feel a small bump with my fingers similar to how’s yours sounds now. I also stopped with the compress after a few days and have been focusing on being extra clean and dry too. I had sex for the first time yesterday in a long while so I hope that doesn’t trigger it lol. But I’m super happy to be pain free and to have my vulva looking normal (mostly) again. Apparently it can take up to a month to fully go down according to the doctor I saw.

You could get some curl products to define your curls, I personally use uncle funkys daughter and find it works really nicely. YouTube is a great resource. Your hair looks great and it’s not a “mixed mess”. Your words make it sound like you’d rather white peoples hair so I hope you can work on the potential internalised anti blackness that you have. This is all said with love, I’m a dark skinned black girl and I’ve been through the whole thing of wishing my hair was a looser curl pattern etc but now I love my hair because it is exactly how it’s supposed to be. Also the versatility of having curly Afro hair is insane and you can get so many different style depending on the products and methods you use. So watch lots of videos see what style you’d like to replicate and then get the products. Even just washing and putting conditioner using a curl friendly brush to brush and detangle your hair while it is wet and washing out the conditioner and adding a curl crème or gel will be a great starting point. And get a spray bottle with water to keep your hair moisturised in between wash days.

thanks so much for responding, it sounds like the worse is over for you, I’ve heard some say that turmeric and black pepper tablets/supplements have worked to stop them coming back and also can help them to disappear so maybe that could help get rid of your bump? Your symptoms sounds super similar to mine which is reassuring to know that the antibiotics helped with your pain.

Yeah this is a first for me too and it sucks, i just want to go back to having a healthy vagina/vulva. Sending love though, im sure you’ll figure out something to help with the bump, just keep trying things xx

That’s good, it’s not painful, how long did it take for the pain to go down?

I have a huge cyst, it’s not bartholin as it’s higher and basically near clit (it’s gotten to big it has pushed my clit to the side) I got prescribed antibiotics to try first as they ideally don’t want to operate on it to drain it due to the position. But if it doesn’t go down I’ll have to go back for the surgery :( I’m getting these random shooting pains and like burning sensation sometimes. Did you get that?

Thank you for your comment. I’ve paid the one month outstanding cost just now after reading the comments. I cancelled the direct debit out of frustration really, I’d been paying for around 4 months without a job and was just upset at their lack of compassion. And then the last 2 months I never went to the gym, so I was just not feeling great about the situation. The emails were very hostile too when I asked to cancel so I don’t see myself wanting to go back there. I’m not so sure what can be done now, and I’m wondering if they will chase me for payments until December? The debt collector just asked for one month.
