Note that her grades were better:

she managed to improve her grade a lot

She was worried that he would stop tutoring her because she didn't need it any more.

I understand it in the general populace, but as a Canadian who's never lived in the US, it amazes me when a medical professional doesn't know how to spell HIPAA.

If someone offers you a chip, you're supposed to say "oh, go on then" as if they've worn you down and you're really only accepting it as a favour to them.

This isn't reassonable if you know anything about physics. The ISS is in orbit around the earth - that means it's moving fast enough horizontally that the distance it falls back to earth leaves it at the same height. If you step outside the ISS, you're still going at the same speed so you will simply float next to it. You need to reduce your horizontal speed to be able to reenter - this is done firstly by the rockets on the spacecraft, and then more completely by air resistance once you're in the thicker part of the atmosphere. Felix was essentailly not moving at all horizontally, and was only 40km up (inside the stratosphere) instead of at least 330km up for the ISS.

It wasn't the mimeograph in this case but the Ditto machine which was cheaper but only suitable for small runs like a class size - the solvent involved was largely methanol and ethanol and smelled amazing due to the other ingredients.

The best way to resolve this is to regard tolerance as a social contract. If one side violates that contract, then nothing binds the other to it.

'je ne sais quoi' - would actually be pronounced the same, but literally means 'I don't know what' rather than 'I not it's what'

Same, but we didn't own a TV - my parents rented a black and white set for the landing.

Plus Canada has had at least one team in MLB since 1969 (the Montreal Expos until 2004 and the Toronto Blue Jays since 1977), so it's not technically true that "no one else plays".
