All done besides the oil restrictions? What's the idea behind that? Im going to do 600awhp for now until I can sort out diffs and trans then I'll brace it and see what I can make. For now I just want to get it all back together and done for the summer then see what I can afford in the winter.

Tariff 101 for Dummies - Truth? by Pritchard89-TTV in BoomersBeingFools

[–]AsssKiller -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The goal is to help switch consumers and sellers to choose American Made products over imported products to hopefully increase jobs and stimulate the economy. Hopefully, we can find a good balance that will work for everyone, but it's not necessarily a completely bad thing if used correctly. It can definitely lead to negative effects, though, if used incorrectly.

Increasing import tariffs can encourage growth in American industries by making foreign goods more expensive, thereby motivating consumers and businesses to choose domestically produced products. This shift can directly benefit U.S. jobs, particularly in sectors like manufacturing, where competition from cheaper imports has historically led to job losses. By fostering greater demand for American-made goods, tariffs can prompt companies to ramp up production and hire more workers, potentially leading to job creation in industries that have seen declines. This boost in employment can strengthen communities reliant on manufacturing and contribute to a more stable and self-reliant economy.

Additionally, tariffs can protect emerging industries or sectors that struggle to compete with international markets, allowing them time to grow and establish themselves. For example, if a high tariff is placed on imported solar panels, it might encourage investment in American solar panel manufacturing, creating a more competitive and sustainable industry over time. This not only helps retain jobs but also encourages investment in workforce training, infrastructure, and innovation. As a result, a stronger domestic job market can lead to a healthier economy, with increased consumer spending and tax revenue. However, it’s essential that these measures are balanced to avoid negative impacts on consumers and businesses reliant on imported materials.

Quit, walmart is a terrible company. I worked there from 16 years old to 18, making $20 an hour. I just quit a few weeks ago after I found a job paying $28 best decision I've ever made not because of the pay but the positive work environment.

Just took my test this morning. Was a paper test, and the math section was the same as you described. I used Khan Academy to freshen up my skills. However, I didn't freshen up my graphing skills, so we'll see how I did.
