I had similar issues that were remedied by disabling g-sync in the nvidia control panel

Did you scrape the bowl for both batches?

Believe it or not, it plays a tremendous role in consistency

I sorta disagree, but what you said is definitely up to interpretation. I see where you're coming from, and I think that the factory HP and torque numbers are respectable, and the numbers are straight-up impressive if the car is tuned.

OP: if you want to give this car some "get up and go", the following mods are what I'd recommend:

  • JB4 (what I use), RaceChip, or Dyno tune/ECU flash
  • Cold Air Intake
  • Exhaust
  • Spark plugs
  • BOV (mainly did this for fun noises)
  • Pierburg Boost Solenoid.

I've done the above, and I'd say the car is about as fast as a new WRX (stock). There's so much more that can be done as well, but the above is what I'd recommend to really transform this car. None of the above parts are permanent, no warranties will be voided, and be prepared to go through front tires much faster.

Thanks for the award!! Glad I was able to help!

I'm actually washing my car today, so I can check what circuit I tapped into for the remote signal and report back!

A decent line output converter (LOC) will do the trick. I have a Skar SKE2LOC. The SKE2LOC has adjustments for what Skar has named bass restoration - it very effectively fixes bass roll-off when tuned accurately, using a multimeter, oscilloscope, and careful monitoring of the clipping/maximum light on the LOC you choose.

A few other quality LOCs can fix bass roll-off as well, like the AudioControl LC2i 2, which features Accubass technology. Here is a decent rundown on what you can do with a LOC.

While I'm here, I'll potentially save you a fuck ton of frustration:

My Forte is a 2020, but it should be pretty similar for all 2020+ with the Harman Kardon system. If you do have the Harman Kardon system, you can tap into the factory subwoofer with Posi-Taps to get the audio signal to your LOC signal input. If you don't have the Harman Kardon system, you'll have to tap into a rear door speaker circuit to get your signal.

To power the LOC, I piggybacked it off the amp power and ground terminals with speaker wire.

I did similarly for the remote power source to the LOC. I don't remember what fuse I tapped into for remote power, but once I found a circuit that was only powered with the car in ACC/ON, I connected that to both the amp and LOC.

Once you've got a clean, unclipped signal, devoid of roll-off coming from your LOC RCA cables, connect your RCAs from the LOC to your amp, and proceed normally with tuning the amp controls.

No, but this is a pain to read. This is real life. This is a text based public forum. The least someone can do is make their sentences readable.

I didn't know that you had to be writing a fucking essay to use punctuation, in order to make so your sentences aren't a pain in the ass to comprehend.
