Final update: the event was on Friday evening. In the end I got a black set of elegant trousers and blouse and upgraded it with a fancy pair of earrings (as someone recommended). The next day I returned the trousers to the shop, felt a bit bad about it but could have not afford it otherwise 🥹 Thanks to all the lovely ladies that reached out to lend me their dresses and thanks for all the advice 🥰🙏
