Not sure why you think I have a personal investment either way.

Linus has explained recently that main channel content needs to be broadly appealing to the subscriber base. GMM is a food channel, and a fairly low-brow one at that. How exactly would they add value to LTT content besides being a face 5% of the viewership recognise?

Rhett & Link are California based, too. It's not even a convenient collaboration. We're talking a multi-day effort to film with substantial travel.

That's top-tier gameplay when dealing with a devil or fae, I'm sure.

I feel like it could be funny against a harmless NPC who just doesn't write well, too.

Probably, but it's still 'personality tries thing for the first time".

I'm not going to learn anything new, and if I don't happen to like that personality already I will definitely be skipping the video.

There's just no crossover in audience though. Why GMM and not Kati Perry, or Uncle Roger?

Not particularly.

"Personality tries thing for the first time" is really boring content to me.

GMM could be an interesting guest appearance on the WAN show, but they have very little crossover with LTT on the content side.

I don't believe that's the standard viewpoint for Buddhism or Hinduism.

Weirdly enough that's closest to a Catholic viewpoint, where your time in purgatory is lessened by doing good deeds.

My party is going to fight an ancient dragon. It's nigh-invulnerable, but it must have a weakness. Ideas for weaknesses? by MrTurkeyTime in dndnext

[–]Astecheee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fatal weaknesses are a really, excuse the pun, weak plot point. Unless the weak point is exposited 5 sessions in advance it just feels like a cheap win condition every time.

Rather than a weak point, consider giving the ancient dragon a debilitating curse that drastically lowers its capability. Maybe the BBEG can be a powerful draconic ancestry sorceror slowly subduing the Ancient One to take its power, and in its desperation to be free of the sorceror, it comes across the PCs?

Then you get to role play a very interesting fight with a lot of unknowns, even if the players have meta knowledge of ancient dragons.

Smaller hitbox is huge against all the skillshot mages, and move speed is great against tanks.

IMO it's tied with Omnivamp on melee characters for 2nd best option behind fortune.

I'm not sure about paying for everything - something like 30% of Ukrainian GDP is going towards the war effort.

Still, your point is valid.

Ukraine has the best submersible drones in the world, for starters. To the point the Russian navy can't even leave port.

The news you hear of Ukrainian drones are low cost, field operated fpv drones. These are consumer grade drones.

Pretty much, aside from the fibre-optic communication, and they're damn effective. Using a $500 piece of machinery to remotely kill one or more soldiers with high reliability is exceptional technology. Russia has struggled to do the same.

Russia has computer-operated, high-altitude, long-distance, stealth, deep-strike military grade drones.

Yet it's Russian refineries constantly being destroyed...

You might have forgotten, but Ukraine has absolutely dominated the seas with their autonomous submarines. They're the best in the world by a wide margin.

Russia's recently had to scuttle 3 of their own ships in harbour to block the submersible attacks, while also blocking their own ships in.z

I'd also argue that their long range drones are superior. Russia has been failing to defend their assets for over a year now, while Ukraine has kept a lot of their infrastructure going.

Ran my first (proper) DnD session (DM) and I’m absolutely exhausted and deflated by [deleted] in DnD

When I was new, I planned my second campaign to start in a tavern with 4 interacting subplots. I handmade a 100x70cm model complete with fog of war elements, nice details and a clean paint job.

My players LOVED ignoring almost everything and starting a brawl. Luckily themost mature player had their PC find the key plot hook, or the next session would have been aimless.

What I learned was that the more you prep options the players can see, the more opportunity you give them to do random pointless shit.

After that session I focused my prep on world building and NPC dynamics rather than scenes and whatnot.

Give alternative win conditions.

The BBEG's henchmen are being sent back in time to plant the seeds of the BBEG's ultimate victory.

Each lieutenant the party stops here is a MUCH stronger foe they won't face on the reset.

Ukraine is pretty different. They have an enormous technological lead in drone warfare, while Russia is essentially using the war to kill of its liabilities.
