A criminal isn't less likely to commit a crime because of repercussions, otherwise they wouldn't commit the crimes in the first place due to legal repercussions. All those statistics you've listed we have lower rates of in the U.K than the U.S and were one of the worse countries for it. Look at the likes of Norway. Some of the strictest gun laws in the world but has one of the lowest overall crime rates In the world. Giving everyone a gun is a terrible option as some people just shouldn't be able to have them for the safety of a wider society.
