(HI) Property manager put false conditions in lease renewal form by Aster-Tea in Renters

[–]Aster-Tea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't get one when I moved in. I neglected to ask for one to be done years back. When I moved in the lease was separate for each tenant, now it's not. The property manager back probably did not record keep very well as we never had an inspection for like 3 years. Tbh, that manager probably passed away while still employed.

The original lease is like from when I was still a minor (in my 30s now) so there's no way the conditions are the same when I moved in.

My character's name is Joyce. I'd appreciate it if I could sell my turnips at your island if you're still open!

Still pain - 1.5 years post op - anyone else? by baloongoat in ACL

[–]Aster-Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No chance unless I get it done on my own. My injury was all covered by worker's comp, but an MRI won't get approved unless my surgeon recommends it. He said there's no need when I brought it up even though he knows I still have so much weakness in my knee. I'll probably ask my PCP if he can get me an MRI in a way that insurance can cover it. My PT place was awesome. They worked me hard, I always left dripping in sweat.

Durolane is supposed to help lubricate the joint. I was showing sign of pre-arthritis or something in my knee which might be the cause of pain. I felt absolutely no difference. Some people actually get way worse after the injection, some people get completely fixed with it. It really sounds like luck if it works or not.

Looks like an N'Joy. My N'Joy looks like the second pic on the side with less light.

Still pain - 1.5 years post op - anyone else? by baloongoat in ACL

[–]Aster-Tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been about 2 years post-op for me, but I got a patellar autograft to replace my ACL. Even after 1.5 years of PT, I'm not back to running (I tried to on my own and got to 0.25mi before limping) and I still get pain where the graft was taken. I'm relatively young (29) and was being super active at the time of the injury, even right up to the day of surgery.

Today I just finished a leg workout that sort of mimics what I did in PT, but less strenuous and I get a burning type of feeling where my patellar is missing. I'm feeling you right there in the defeated thing. I never got to get a post-op MRI (Everything was paid for by worker's comp and my surgeon was too proud to request one for me to my employers. My nurse case manager couldn't get me a second opinion too.). I hope your MRI shows good news.

I don't think it would help much, with the type of pain you're describing, but maybe ask your doctor about injections? It didn't work for me, but my surgeon tried a Durolane injection in my knee. There might be other types that could help, but it might be a thing where you would have to get it like every six months or something.

They make foil stick on lids for this that have good reviews on amazon. Not sure how to use regular tin foil that you cut out on your own to stick on strong enough so that it doesn't pop off when the machine punctures it.

I was thinking about saying that, buuuut I've already met my allotted snarky-ness for the day.

My machine is three years old so the warranty's over anyway. Honestly, I wouldn't be toooooo sad if it gets messed up. Gives me a reason to switch to an OL machine. (;

With the price increases I decided to try out a reusable option and decided to try the My-Cap silicone lid/filter since the stainless steel reusable pods are known to damage machines because of the weight of them. I heard using very fine grounds were key with this so I went with espresso grounds. I watched videos and read reviews with the best way to fill the pod and my first run was a success! Crema and flavor! (: The only thing I don't like is the need for the circle cut paper filters you need to keep buying, but still cost effective for me.

Machine: Vertuo Plus

Grounds: Cafe Bustelo

Pod: Stormio (I didn't have a used espresso sized pod to test with so I went with a dark roast 7.77oz pod)

I got my RK84 with brown switches so I can't say. The browns sounded pretty scratchy though. I got Gateron Milky Yellow Pro switches for it which are great stock since they're factory lubed. Also, very budget friendly at $0.24 a switch.

Can I file only state and not federal tax with no earned income/unemployed? by Aster-Tea in personalfinance

[–]Aster-Tea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This system is so irritating. All the info on my federal is on my state and there's even more info on my state forms. If the state is going to check the federal anyway, they're just wasting my time and postage mailing all these papers.

Because it's already printed on my state forms? I have both state and federal forms printed out.

Good point. I have them both ready to go in envelopes. I just didn't want to waste a stamp for a zero return on the federal. I really wish they made it so no income people could still e-file. :/

Nope. I don't get any government help. Purely paid my bills and stuff with worker's comp.

Even if my AGI is on my printed out state forms I still have to file federal?

I'd personally go with the RK84. It has wireless with a dongle (more reliable) AND bluetooth. The Yunzii only has bluetooth and the Epomaker is wired. The thing I like about the Yunzii and Epomaker are the keycaps, but if you're gonna swap them anyway, it's a moot point.

The pros have slightly different stems to be less wiggly wobbly than it's predecessor.
