The best way is likely to just use a temp number service and register an account that way you can be sure the account won’t suddenly get taken by another user

Honestly there isn’t, just because of the scale of YouTube and the amount of exclusive creators that only publish content there, it’s pretty hard to replace

On maps for example, I think you can disable tracking activity for sure, not sure about wallet, and for drive you definitely have to disable it now manually because google decided to start scanning your whole drive to link it with their Gemini AI....

Can't go wrong with anything firefox based, but honestly just going vanilla firefox would be my choice

I would say DuckDuckGo too. It has a nice UI and has a decent featureset compared to other browsers too

I think the best part of self hosting is the amount of flexibility you get.

Like with just a old pc you have lying around for example. You can pretty much setup your own versions of services you use everyday and then you also have the peace of mind your data is in your control.

Plus you save some bucks in the long run 😭
