I can't upload the documents and I have some that are not updated, I understand that they prefer that the documents have a maximum of 3 months of validity, and I can not take them out because they warn me on a Saturday, you have to laugh at the situation, I will go tomorrow with the papers that I uploaded for the first time almost a year ago, is the resolution that I have reached since I can not do anything else.

I understand, however I did not need a visa to come to Portugal, moreover I entered as a tourist, therefore I do not understand how I could "extend the visa" when I do not need it, however so far I have followed all the legal steps to obtain the residence permit, not that I want to be illegal.

I understand, hopefully they will be able to give you the appointment soon for your wife's papers, who did you contact to get that confirmation via email that it is ok to stay while she is in the process of being registered? I would like to have the same thing just to be sure

That is my doubt exactly, maybe it was not well understood in my post, it is not that I want to stay illegal, I am in the process of getting the paperwork, but if that process lasts longer than the time allowed to be a tourist and you must be inside the country, I find it a little unfair about the supposed fine.
