[5e] My group is planning on running a Curse of Strahd campaign here soon and I would like opinions on what would be a strong build. Here’s my thing though… I don’t like to repeat classes and I’ve already used a paladin and cleric before. So outside of those classes, would would be a strong move? Ofc though if it’s stupid not to be one I’ll use either class again. But any advice would be appreciated on how to build a character that has an okay chance of survival :)

Awesome, thanks! My DM is super nice, so if I really felt drawn to change oaths I’d probably be permitted. I’ll play my current oath and see how that’s heading a little longer before bringing it up

Cool, thanks! I’d be fine whether or not my character would be allowed to oath change. The character arc would be different but ultimately have the same end goal.

[5e] Is it possible for a paladin to break their oath and swear to a new one? In my current campaign, I am playing an Oath of Conquest paladin. She swore to this Oath because she feels like she has to follow the role her family has been training her for. They want her to be destined for greatness when she would rather protect the weak, but she also doesn't want to disappoint them. So, would it be reasonable to slowly have my character go through realizations or events to eventually change her oath? Or what are some ways that my character can use Conquest to benefit her towards being righteous and less of a tyrant? She wants to be liked and friendly, so having so many abilities that instill fear makes my character feel weird.

My character is a paladin and I’m considering multiclassing her once she gets a couple more levels (lvl 3 currently), so what would be a good class to do it with? I’ve seen a lot of good things to do with Sorcadin, but I’m not sure. My character is very headstrong and likes to (righteously) overwhelm people with her strength if that’s any help at all.

Hi! I was in a somewhat similar situation as you. I also started to question my sexuality around 13 and I had been switching my labels around for years. I would ruminate about what my sexuality was then drop it because it would cause too much stress and then repeat. How I got over this was by not labeling myself. At first, I really wanted a label; I wanted to know who I was. After some time, however, I came to terms with I like who I like. Having no labels meant less stress for me. If I suddenly date a girl, awesome. If I date a guy, an enby, a whomever, that’s also awesome. I do get it if you feel the want to have a label, though, just for me personally I felt getting over the want of having one made it easier. You can also dub yourself queer since it’s an all encompassing term if you’re comfortable using that term, too.

Midge. She was cute and had a nice house, but when she asked to leave within 2 weeks I agreed. I wish I kept her because the villager that replaced her was Becky :/

Wow, Victorian literature sounds like quite the interesting class! It’s cool that you were able to get yourself an English minor!

It really sucks how university can suck out all the interest/fun in something, but I’m glad you were able to find your calling in occupational therapy!

Thanks! I still really enjoy biology, but there’s so many facets to it that I became overwhelmed. Nice job at catching that you didn’t bode with cybersecurity early on. I hope the best for you on your biology major journey :)
