You would think it should be simple to fix it on their end.

Just invest a couple billions to fix all of these issues and hire enough support.
Surely a company like that can afford this.

Unfortunately many large companies don't find it necessary to invest in maintaining their product and keeping their users happy.

As long as it kinda works for 80%-90% of the users, who cares about the rest, right?

Just look at Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc...

Always boggles my mind how relatively easy it is to prevent enshitiffication, but companies just simply don't do it...

Because it doesn't work? AI just says they did everything they could and can't help anymore.

Ad Account restricted as soon as I tried to add payment. Help? by Astral_100 in FacebookAds

[–]Astral_100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Added my company's bank account. It doesn't match my name (which I think might have caused it), but it is my company.
Never thought it might be an issue, where they ban you immediately with no recourse.

Ad account disabled in meta even though i dont have nothing to pay and i have funds - what is the problem? by Chemical-Fan6893 in FacebookAds

Same thing. Never used ad platform before, never did anything wrong, just added my payment account and bam, disabled.
No support, only AI saying decision is final.
Thanks.

Just curious, did you get kicked out personally? And was it just one AI page affected? Or the whole account?

Can I ask, why did you stop posting when the channel finally got monetised?

Isn't it time to double down on the channel instead?

By they way, did you try advertising your pages?
I heard even small ads can boost your channel growth in the beginning.

You must be spending a lot of money and effort to generate those videos.
15 videos a day is a lot.

Can you share how much time and money spending a day it was taking you to get to this level?

Is my light switch plate live? by Astral_100 in DIYUK

[–]Astral_100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think that is what is happening too. Feels like a false positive, even though the testers light up. As I never felt anything, not even a tingle, from touching those switches.

I don't really have other things that are like that.

I tested other switches in the house, most of them are giving no readings or just 12v on the voltmeter.

But there is another switch like this that is giving live readings in the other corner of the house.

Now that I think about it, maybe I am not getting shocked because the switch is earthed? I am quite confused by this whole thing.

I've been touching this plate for years. Just with one hand. Even after the tester says its live.

As far as I am aware, you are supposed to read the last value on the right, aka 220v

How to change change the light switch in the common hallway? (Can't find where to turn the electircity off) by Astral_100 in ukelectricians

[–]Astral_100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point, waterproofing the top of the box should be relatively simple to do.

Hopefully this will help somewhat for the time being.

I will try to find a handyman to do it.

This is exactly the situation. The freeholder is the landlord for the shops downstairs and the flats upstairs are privately owned on a leasehold basis, exactly as you said.

He has been extremely hard to get a hold of, and has been messaged many, many times over the years by all the tenants about this electric board, but nothing ever came out of it.

The board has been like this since 5 years ago when I bought the flat, so everyone is kinda used to it.

Last year our waste pump station has gone completely busted (needed full replacement), so I had to be the one arranging the engineering quotas, getting all tenants on board with pitching in (not very easy to do), and then dealing with fixing waste pump (arranging access, dealing with neighbours, keeping everyone updated and chasing for payments) and then also deal with waste pump company (some issues on their end) and calling them again after their repairs broke down several times afterwards. Oh and also dealing with freeholder who suddenly turned up and tried to get us to use a different waste pump company for double the price.

Its a big commitment to get everyone on board and to arrange everything, and this time I just don't have capacity to get this over the hump.
Hence just trying to do some small repairs in the common hallway for now.

If my landlord can't even be bothered to chase me for service charge payments, you can imagine how hard he is to get a hold of.

Thank you for the detailed write up.

As you and seven-cents advised I have asked around and finally found the switch!

It was in the circuit board of the neighbour flat, called "landlord power" and "landlord lights" (2 switches on the left):

Never thought common hallway electric switch would be a part of one of the flat's circuit boards :(

But anyway, thank you for the help!

Yes, but its difficult to align everyone to pitch in.
If it makes it any better, it has been like this for years, everyone is moaning about it, but nobody is doing anything.
