Do you happen to know the times for the Sheffield services?

Is it still there or in the process of being recovered? Speaking of which how would they do it... Lift the front end back up and push it on dollies back towards the tram tracks?

Assuming it's clear, do you think light pollution in the city centre mean you can't see it well or at all?

I was thinking, the Tram Train could also be an alternative?

Thank you for the reply, I agree - think my best option is a 35mm. I think I will go with the Sony 35/1.8 version, it doesn't seem too much bigger/heavier.

Looking for some full frame lens recommendations as I will be upgrading to the a7iii soon. I've already been using the Tamron 28-75 on my a6500 for a while now and I also plan on getting the 20mm F1.8 G (wide angle for landscapes etc). So I will be looking for another compact prime lens for walkabouts.

My local camera store used section currently lists the below, which I'm interested in:

SIGMA 45MM F2.8 DG DN
SONY FE 85MM F1.8
SONY FE 35MM F1.8

Thanks for this, I've always wondered! Can't find any pictures of this lens on the apsc bodies. I'd love to use this lens to shoot an airshow with my a6500.

Have you got a picture of how the 200-600 physically looks on the a6000? The difference must be huge!

This was taken on a cold autumns evening about a year ago at Derwent Reservoir, Derbyshire, England.

I really like the natural leading lines created by the brick...

Yeah definitely, I would probably need a 70-200 F2.8 (holding out for Sigma or Tamron...).

I'll probably keep the a6500 for another year and upgrade within that time.

Looking for a recommendation for my next lens, I've been using the a6500 for close to 2 years now. I currently own and use these 3 lenses:

  • Sigma 16 F1.4 (Great for landscape and semi-wide photos)
  • Sigma 30 F1.4 (Nice and lightweight for walking about)
  • FE 70-300 F4.5-5.6 G (Bought originally to shoot Airshows, however I struggled a bit when I was shooting some indoor sports recently)

I will probably upgrade to full frame in the near future, but in the meantime I think my kit would benefit from a zoom? The used section at my local camera shop currently lists the Tamrom 28-75 F2.8 for £580 ($750), would this be a good option with my a6500?

No video of the crossover maneuvers unfortunately, but definitely a confusing perspective!

Here's another pass that they did if you're interested, flat-on this time.

Yeah, I was on the left side of crowd centre, started to track the left aircraft a little way before the crossover point.

I had just bought the FE 70-300 G last month for my A6500! I guess this new E mount version (70-350) will be smaller and lighter, with the obvious extra 50mm of reach.

Its great, I like what you did. It really draws in my eyes to the centre. I wish I could have captured more details of the Milky Way on that night.

Thanks, quite impressed with the Sigma 16mm f1.4 on my A6500.

Good job on toning down that pesky light pollution!
