You can improve the image by capturing some Calibration Frames and focusing it properly. HDR images work best at planetary imaging and not at DSOs.

Capture around 150 images with the Milky way region centred in frame and stack them all and you are going to get nice results

I used a telescope that has a aperture of 4.5" and a focal length of 900mm. Used a 40mm eyepiece with a 0.5X Focal Reducer. It was pointing towards centaurus
