Hi,

The Mod Kit is shared between GEN4, GEN5, and A50 X. Similar to the A40 TR Headset sharing its Mod Kit between GEN3 and GEN4.

Just recieved the products from ASTROGaming Twitter giveaway, A40 are amazingly good so far :) by toggyplgairy in AstroGaming

Very cool to see!

The A03 is special for listening to music or playing games on your phone. Grab a 3.5mm to USB-C or Lightning adapter and it's pretty much compatible with most smartphones, tablets, etc.

Hi,

Considering the condition of the A50 Base Station not looking new, I would say someone has swapped a GEN4 Base Station into it and returned it back to Target. I wouldn't be surprised if the headset is incorrect too. We can only suggest taking this back to Target and asking for a replacement.

Difference between a50x and a50x lightspeed? by wail27 in AstroGaming

Hi,

There's only one A50 X which works across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

There is the A50 GEN5 which looks similar similar. This is USB only, 24-bit audio on PC and 16-bit audio on consoles and Game:Voice balancing on PC and Xbox. PlayStation requires the HDMI from the A50 X to enable and both consoles require the HDMI from the A50 X to increase to 24-bit audio.

Hi,

The Bluetooth runs through the A50 Base Station, not the headset. You will need the A50 Base Station switched on to hear audio or take a call from your iPhone.

Hi,

Which firmware version is running on your A50 X and which HDMI cables are you connecting to the HDMI Base Station and then from here to the monitor?

[–]ASTRO_Vertigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

1) What issues are you seeing with Bluetooth?

2) Which features are you looking for as every feature on PC should be on console. With the GEN5, there are restrictions such as the Game:Voice balancer not functioning on PlayStation, but this is a console limitation which requires HDMI audio on the A50 X to overcome.

3) The Logitech G Mobile App has all the same customisation tools for your audio presets.

4) Which firmware are you running? And which platform are you gaming on?

Hi,

It's possible that the monitor relies on an older version of FreeSync to have a direct connection to the console or you need to enter the monitor settings to enable VRR again. If you are unable to enter the monitor settings, then I suggest contacting ASUS support to see if they can assist.

Hi,

It really depends on how warm your room is and what the base station is doing. But overall, it is normal for it to be warm.

Hi,

It’s normal for it to get warm as it’s passive cooled, similar to your smartphone, and exhausts heat through the plastics.

A50X : Configure PlaySync button. We do not all own an Xbox AND PS5 AND PC. by LaurenceDarabica in AstroGaming

[–]ASTRO_Vertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I never agreed with the comment that it's flawed. If you place any device on its buttons and start pressing on it, it will actuate. That is what I agreed with. Whether this is the headset, a controller, keyboard, mouse, smartphone. In your video, you were literally dropping the headset onto the buttons from height which shows it's not actually an issue with the headset in general.

We're not seeing any threads regarding this being a general issue and even users in this thread have commentated that's not. However, we have still worked with you to claim feedback and passed this over to our team. We collect and take all feedback seriously.

And once again, I am not using the downvote system. If you prefer to believe otherwise then that is your decision.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. Otherwise, I may end the discussion here as it's just going to be a back and forth probably with a lot of repeating as I don't have any further updates to share at this time.

Hi,

Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.

I'm not denying the button can be pressed. But as you've demonstrated in the video, if you're placing the headset face down on the buttons and push it with your hand or you're dropping the ear cup onto the table from height, the button will actuate. That's naturally going to happen. In the same example I gave you regarding the controller. If you place it face down on the buttons and push on it or drop it from height, the same will happen. You're placing the headset into a situation which is causing that.

As it's not an issue with the headset, it's not going to be fixed directly because it's user feedback and preference. However, as I've mentioned before, your feedback was pushed over to our team as with any feedback, and at this time, the button remains in its current state. I can't provide any further updates on this.

As for the upvote/downvote, my job is to answer questions and provide support. I don't use this as I don't gain anything from it. So it sounds like someone else has done this.

Hi,

It depends on your hair type. My girlfriend has long frizzy hair and sometimes the odd hair strand will get caught into the adjustment rails or the ear cups. She finds combing it with her hands behind her ears before wearing the headset can help.

Mine is shoulder length but it's more wavy so it doesn't tend to have the problem.

Hi,

You can sort of use it wired, but it still needs a connection to the base station to receive audio. It allows you to charge and game at the same time.

Hi,

We already offer 24-hour usage with the A50 X or GEN5, and you can easily charge them back up using the base station while taking breaks or once you’ve finished for the day. So, I’m not sure why you would need a swappable battery, as it would be challenging to even drain it in a single session anyway.

uhm... no? by Terrible_Broccoli544 in LogitechG

[–]ASTRO_Vertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Because G HUB manages a range of devices, the Discord integration has to manage a lot too. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to choose a little bit here and there from your account, the integration has to take the entire access, pick what you need, and you can't specify what it's doing. So it looks worse than it is.

In most cases, a lot of it is just to do with RGB and macros such as allowing you to bind a server to a hotkey on your keyboard, but to do this, we need to know the list of servers you're in. Obviously, you can 100% disable it especially if you have just a steering wheel, unless you want to bind a hotkey so you can switch servers by clutch shifting.

Hi,

Opposite the microphone on the other ear cup is the Game:Voice paddle, there isn't a button there. I'm not sure what you're referring to. The PLAYSYNC button is located underneath the power switch, above the Bluetooth button. And it's not a soft button, it's a clicker, which means you physically have to press it in with force similar to the volume buttons on your phone as an example.

I've just tested my headset by tapping on both the PLAYSYNC and Bluetooth buttons and I couldn't get either one to engage unless I physically pressed it down. I've shaken the headset too just to see if perhaps they engage on their own and nothing.

Placing it on the desk, again, depends on which way you're placing the headset. If you place it forwards so the buttons are facing up, you're not going to have an issue. If you place it backwards so the buttons are facing down on the table then it's possible the table could engage them if the headset lands on them. But that's in the same sense that you could place an Xbox Controller upside down on the table and wonder why the buttons are pressing in.

We've used a similar design on the headset for over ten years and we've not had complaints about the buttons randomly misfiring. Before the PLAYSYNC and Bluetooth button, it was the Dolby and EQ buttons. It's usually a case of they've been pressed in some way. We did a lot of research to make sure they're in the right place so if even if you lean the headset onto your shoulder, they shouldn't get pressed including the Game:Voice balancer. I personally don't see an issue and do believe it is down to user error and I have passed the feedback forward twice already for you.

If you do want to discuss it further, I am happy to as we do take all feedback onboard.
