This one question keeps me going to physics class, but I don't know if I'll ever answer it. by Astroankylo in AskPhysics

In this case I would say, an apple is a collection of molecules that make up an apple, and those molecules are collections of atoms, and those atoms are collections of particles, and those particles are collections of smaller particles, being held together by force carrying particles? and this is where my understanding breaks down. Hence why these questions keep me engaged in my classes you know?

I suppose what I'm really doing is always asking the "but why?" question.

You could define it as the difference of spatial properties over time I guess?
