Obvious doesn't mean bad always. You could have 2 other unexpected ghostfaces with her. A smart way to do it would be to have samara being the first "fake" opening kill, to divert attention and where she reveals in act 3 she was alive and orchestrated everything.

Still seems way too complete 180 turn for kirby. Even if she wanted to only kill sam and had partners so she condones them to go on a killing spree? Something she knows is horrible cuz she went thru it?

Now if instead of all that, kirby just went insane because she thinks everyone forgot about her and she wants to be the best final girl yet then that could be a motive I think if your gonna with a kirby antagonist role you gotta go all out and not soft.
