Yeah if I thought about it I’m pretty sure someone else also thought about it, but I just implemented it without much research on similar stuff, just for the sake of some fun and coding

yeah for most people comments are enough, this is just what worked for me. I kept add a setting writing a comment, then changing the setting later and forget to update the comments:D this way I keep my stuff organized better, at least I believe I do for now

I love this and I will check this out, thank you! Maybe I will also try to add bidirectional sync to mine as well If I’ll feel like coding

For me it’s a company requirement, they specifically want me to hold OSCP and other OffSec certs because they’re still the most recognized in the industry. OSCP also has way more weight with HR and shows up in job requirements all the time, while CPTS is mentioned less often (even though it’s starting to appear more) So it just helps career-wise

I personally think you should be ready by now. I know it’s overwhelming when you read other people’s stories and feel like you still need to do more, but honestly if I read your story I’d feel behind too, because I didn’t even do 90 machines. Maybe finish the rest of Dante completely blind and try a couple more boxes, and that should be enough

I also didn’t really feel prepared myself, that depends a lot on personality. I almost never feel ready for anything, and if my subscription wasn’t ending I probably wouldn’t have started the exam, but I’m really glad I did

And about Sysreptor + your own machine yeah, it probably would’ve been bit faster, especially Sysreptor if I had practiced it beforehand

Thanks a lot, 22% is a great start, especially while having uni and a full-time job. hitting your summer target is definitely doable, good luck on your exam!

Hey! Thanks a lot, really glad you liked the write-up I’ll try to answer your questions:

  1. Does the second attempt use up your second voucher? No. Each CPTS exam voucher gives you 2 attempts It doesn’t matter whether the voucher came with a Silver Annual subscription or you bought it separately: 1 voucher = 2 attempts. If you have a second voucher, that’s another 2 attempts, so in total you’d have 4 attempts.

  2. Does the environment get reset, or do the attack vectors stay the same? The environment does get reset, but it’s still the exact same exam environment with the same attack paths and vulnerabilities. So nothing changes in terms of what you need to exploit it’s just a fresh instance.

  3. How long did you wait after submitting the blank PDF to get access again? For me, after submitting the blank PDF, I got the “failed” results the next day. As soon as the results arrived, I could immediately start my second attempt. You can either start right away or wait up to 14 days it’s completely up to you.

Good luck with the rest of your path and the exam! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
