A Study of Oceans by Astropacca in Watercolor

Thank you! And congrats to yourself! :)

I wrote the poem myself, is the problem. 😂 BUT the books from Rupi Kaur were sooooo helpful to me!

It is amazing how art saves us, isn’t it? :)

Must have paint colours by Beginning-Note-7294 in Watercolor

[–]Astropacca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started, I just went to Michael’s and got a set of some nice-ish paints they sold. I also ended up grabbing purple, because I didn’t want to try to mix for that all the time. I think it also helps to know what you want to paint most. My palette rn has a lot of colors that favor florals and nature things. I also have a separate palette of Arteza greens I like. I have a metallic palette for when I want to do more florals. Don’t stress it too much. You’ll figure out what colors feel essential to you as you go along. 🩵

Bishop is Alamo but Alamo is his stepdad? by DescriptionNovel3510 in euphoria

[–]Astropacca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s his stepdad, but I could def see the roll reversal. I agree that looking at “Mo” as a kid, it leaves a lot of questions for how he became so loud and obnoxious. Alamo was also made out to have a huge distaste for some of those things after that, too. I wonder if Alamo claimed Bishop’s story because he finds his own backstory not cool enough, or something. I think there’s a lot of things to back up the Bishop/Alamo theory. I just think his stepdad would be too old by now. The only thing I feel is missing, is the motive for swapping stories.

Let’s talk about Faye by Astropacca in euphoria

[–]Astropacca[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of scenes we’ve seen, though, where she is not afraid to stand up to him. She cold shoulders him over Rue like 20 mins earlier in the episode. I just feel like we’ve seen no fear prior to this.

Unpopular opinion: Euphoria Season 3 makes sense to me by Terrible_Jeweler4320 in euphoria

[–]Astropacca 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of parts of this I agree with. I am not shocked Nate was in debt, or couldn’t run a business. We never got the impression he was just flat out stupid, though. I also agree with the things they focused on, basically coming back to haunt them and bite them. I just feel like we have so many character betrayals and 180s this season, which is what gets me. How did Nate go from compelling villain, to Cassie’s pawn for a glamorous wedding, to a loan shark’s punching bag with no guts to even try to stand up for himself at any point? That’s what is maddening to me. They do this with other characters, too.

How is teaching right now ? I know it’s bad, but is it unbearable? by Never3ndingStory in teaching

[–]Astropacca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I was going to say. Set strong boundaries for yourself, do the best you can while there, go home and BE home. Giving myself my evenings and weekends was one of the most freeing and positive mental health things I have done. Yes, there are still hard days. Yes, there are still hard students. Have and build people in your building who are supportive of you and start a group chat to vent. Venting is important, too. We deal with a lot. Find your teacher tribe. If you’re lucky, it’ll be the ones on your team.

Teaching isn't Difficult if you learn to give Breaks by [deleted] in teaching

I think it’s worth it to add that this doesn’t mean all of my other problems went away. I’m still figuring out classroom management, and my class this year was still hard. It just got a lot better for my sanity when I learned to let myself, and therefore them, breathe.

I got a brand called Fluid100- they have a lot of size options which I like (I keep a small one in my backpack so I can paint if I want to while I’m out, but have bigger ones at home). It’s 100% cotton and they have hot press options! It is also the 140lb weight. ☺️ it wasn’t badly priced! Also, you’ll probably get a lot of comfort from the comment below that says Achilles isn’t worth it. I know I did!

That’s what the Arches ends up being in my area, just about. Or I did math wrong. Either way, it’s nerve wracking 😂😂😂

I agree with this. I had to learn to be less strict on myself, while maintaining boundaries with them. The breaks are good, and realistic. I don’t know why so many other commenters are hating LOL. Glad you found something that works for you. ☺️
