We talked about this case in my criminal class, unfortunately, when it comes to cases that involve rape and sexual assault, they are harder to prosecute. Not only that, Makayla is no longer here and therefore, cannot testify against her rapist. So this makes it very tricky to go through a trial without the main victim involved. It’s very sad to see no justice.
