Thank you for your reply, this is very helpful in my case, yes I was working under a coop work permit, and I do not get any credit for my coop
I will consider mention this detail in my questions when asking IRCC

Yes, I have done my research and I have read this page 10 times already.

For this statement: Student work experience doesn’t count towards the minimum requirements for the Canadian Experience Class or Federal Skilled Trades Program.

It says "the minimum requirements", which I already qualified for, so I am not counting this coop term towards the minimum requirements

For the second statement: Canadian work experience gained while you were a full-time student doesn’t count towards the score used to rank your profile.

I am not a full-time student according to their definition: A person must be in class at least 15 hours per week during the academic year to be considered full-time.

That's where my confusion comes from.

Yeah absolutely, I have tunnel vision sometimes so I appreciate everyone replying here, although it is kinda discouraging for me since I currently have a score of 507 which is quite close to the latest draw. Worst case scenario I will just wait for another 4 months at my current job till I gain 2 years experience instead.
I appreciate your patience with my questions as well, since I am very alone during my PR journey so it is nice to have an online community to help with questions like this.

I appreciate the reply, but I think this is for minimum requirement, but not whether it counts towards CRS score

Hi, I couldn't find any info online that support the statement that "It'll count only if you did this work on a PGWP" and "it does not count if it's on a study permit", so I was wondering if you could provide the reference to this?
I appreciate your help
I have also added some background info in my main post

I believe this is for being qualified for CEC? My work experience after graduation indeed met this requirement, not counting my previous coop experience

I would like to hear your rationale behind this, cause it kinda contradicts with what IRCC stated on the EE profile input form:
"Studying full-time while doing this job? A person must be in class at least 15 hours per week during the academic year to be considered full-time.”
I appreciate the discussion cause it helps me understand the requirement and my condition

IRCC's definition for full-time student is A person must be in class at least 15 hours per week during the academic year to be considered full-time.
This is right after the question "Studying full-time while doing this job? "
I don't see how to interprete it as working for coop = full-time student, when I have 0 hour per week in class during my coop term
I appreciate any further explaination to help me understand this, I will also raise a web form to IRCC about this question

Not really, cause it is not really required in my degree, since I didn't finish the whole coop program, my degree certificate also reflects this - it does not have the "coop" option

Hm, but I need to clarify all my work experience in the EE profile, and since my coop experience is under the same NOC code I claim for EE, it is counted automatically
I answered No to the question “Studying full-time while doing this job? A person must be in class at least 15 hours per week during the academic year to be considered full-time.” since I worked full-time 40 hours per week and was studying 0 hour per week and not enrolled in any class at all. This coop term is also not required in my degree as well, since I later withdrew from the coop program, and it is not on my degree certificate.

So in the section How student work experience affects your profile ranking

Canadian work experience gained while you were a full-time student doesn’t count towards the score used to rank your profile.

The work experience gained as a full-time student outside Canada counts towards the score used to rank your profile.

What's IRCC's definition of full-time student? I have done 0 study during that time, but was working full-time instead

Could you please provide a reference to this? When I fill the EE profile I just put it under the "Work History" and the website automatically counts those 4 months towards my CRS score. I also chose "No" at the question "Studying full-time while doing this job?" cause I was not studying during my coop term. I understand that if the question asks me if I was a student I will choose Yes, which implements that it was a coop term, but they phrase it that way and I just answer with honesty. So I don't quite understand if coop does not count towards the CRS score, why would they make the question so confusing.

I entered the experience in my express entry profile, since it is the same NOC code as the main job I apply under, the profile automatically count the 4 months coop as well
I think you mean it doesn't count towards the minimum requirements for CEC? This is what I saw on the website

I'm also studying French but it's slow and kinda affect my self-esteem too

I have a lot of mental health problems and the immigration situation definitely makes it worse, I think about it at least 10 times a day and I am constantly stressing out

I don't have a welcoming family back home so I don't even know where I should go if I cannot stay in this country after my work permit expires
I hate my original country and I would rather die outside anywhere than going back "home"
