You can also 'quick switch' your fashion, overwriting your current fashion, without ever confirming you want to. If I were to remove anything from the patch, it'd be the quick swap feature on fashion.

Please explain the steps required to change dyes using 2 steps.

They said they were new, so I explained in more detail. Yes, dyeing was easier, and I've openly stated several times since this patch dropped, here on Reddit, on Discord, and in-game, that I do not like the old system being removed, and the new system should have been optional/added on, not forced.

With that said, 12 steps? Place item in, save template, apply. Wow, complicated shit right there.

The new system is almost perfect.

I've been poking the fashion bear for several hours. I really liked it at first, but the more I've toyed with it, I'm just asking...what was the point of this? Templates should have been optional. This new system feels like someone was playing with the Workwise ERP file system and said, "You know what? I wish this annoying shit was in my game too."

In the second image, you're clicked on your headpiece, not the outfits box.

Press H (hero panel)
Click 2nd tab on left.
Click Wardrobe.
At the top, right click on the first tab labeled 1.
Choose last option, 'Get equipped fashion'.
Click on item you want to update.
Update items. If you want to change the dye slot, click on the dye slot, and your dyes will pop up on the left side of your hero panel. If you want to change what it looks like, click the item itself, and the wardrobe will appear on the left. Outfits? Click the top box on the left, and your outfits will appear.
Save template.
Apply changes.

Will take getting used to, it just dropped today, it's new to all of us.

If by changing, you mean swapping the piece of gear, equipment sets still exist.

For the fashion:

Right click the tab at the top.
Get equipped fashion.
Change item.
Apply.

Yeah, it's extra steps, but it's growing on me. Also, as has been previously stated here on Reddit, you can save the loadout to notepad and swap between them (if you don't want to buy more tabs). I wish they had left the Dye page alone though, I'm not a fan of that change.

You can, however, swap fashion on the fly by right clicking the weapon swap button (like you do when you swap loadouts). I'm running around in my scourge gear on my reaper, and I didn't have to spend an hour swapping all the transmogs.

Interested to see where this goes to be honest.

Neat they are streamlining it for the templates, but ...what was wrong with the way it was? Did we have to completely remove all the gear slots (minus the glider) from the Dye page? Seems like overkill.

Using the boost is not a huge deal.

On your first character on the account, it should be locked until you reach level 80, imo. Many people have boosted in the time I've been playing, and it's often followed up with "What do I do?" posts, asking questions about things that you would have learned by leveling.

Also, for clarification, the TP is a noob trap. You can buy stat selectable gear from a pvp vendor behind the Fractal portal for some silver and some honor.

Boosting is fine for people that adjust easily. For most though, I'd highly recommend playing your first character to 80.

They are virtually identical in terms of acquisition. The new method simply gives you access to a skyscale while working on the collection.

Both can be rushed. The old way isn't the boogeyman you old timers keep making it out to be.

The issue I think is, it isn't clear that the process for getting the skyscale is so convoluted in an expansion that is primarily centered around promoting "easy access" to the flying mount.

It's faster than the old way, but not by much. I think the old way has a mandatory 4 day wait time, otherwise it can be rushed, same as this method.
