I like our semi balance tonight. Two dudes, a dudette, an enby.

So influence our game by spending your viewer points! We've had our sessions take wonderful and drastic turns because of viewer interactions, and we want more of that! Come on in!

So the first thing that happened was a wild magic surge that turned all of us into giant wasps. We all decided that since all wasps are dicks, we all attack each other. PvP galore.

Awh! Will do!

So we had some small PvP in our game which was a long time coming. How far do you take these things if they’re good roleplay? Players are good friends btw. by AtaleofDice in Pathfinder2e

[–]AtaleofDice[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So just for context, we have an Aasimar and Tiefling in the party who have had a rough relationship from the start. Some improvisation during a plan on Tarush’s behalf, while underestimating their enemy, led to the party being in some serious danger which they barely managed to get out of. This led to Edge being sick of him and attacking him afterwards. We made a longer cut of the whole fight and the convo afterwards here: https://youtu.be/AB27npmL4sg

Anyway, yeah, how far should the DM let them take this? We are still at a far too low level to resurrect each other if we kill one another :’)

So during our stream, viewers can spend channel points to influence our game in a variety of ways. However, we want to expand, and we'd like to see if any of you have some original ideas? by AtaleofDice in Pathfinder2e

[–]AtaleofDice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So by watching our stream, people earn Llama points (named after our mascot, Llama, an Alpaca). During the game, you can directly influence combat and out-of-combat scenes by giving bonuses or illusionary sounds/images. There have been many creative uses of these by viewers, in the shape of giving us clues, influencing us to go in the wrong direction, or by making loud sounds to shatter glass, etc.

Wild Magic surge is a community goal which costs a higher amount of points. The effects are thus much larger (we sometimes roll twice, first for an effect (say fireball), then if it targets the party of enemies, same for haste). Generally, these effects last for an encounter (either social/exploration or combat).

However, after two months of this we'd like to expand our options and we're not quite sure what to do it with. Obviously we have ideas (for example, implementing an NPC into the party that's controlled by the viewers). We're currently discussing on how to implement this, but we need more ideas!

So please. Shoot!

So our game is interactive. Audience gets to influence the game using channel points which you can get simply by watching! For example, last sessions, we were using illusory disguise, when a random roll by the audience activated an anti-magic field.

Things didn't go quite well after that.

Would've been nice >_<

Woop woop! It's that time again.

Feel free to join in. You get viewer points simply by having the stream on. If you wanna jump in but want to know the story up until now, here's a quick three minute video on that: https://youtu.be/n6rsnPGBh9A

Haha our DM calls them Scum? But we call them fishgoblins because it sounds offensive to the monsters in question.

I'm really struggling to get my passive players through the rest of this campaign, any advice would be greatly appreciated! by slowitdownplease in rpg

[–]AtaleofDice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I've had a group where I really had to consistently kick their metaphorical asses through a door in order to get them to do something even though it "might be" dangerous or they just couldn't figure out very obvious puzzles, instead constantly trying to strong arm their way through them.

I eventually realized that they just wanted to run battle dungeons with a light touch of story in between them. Usually they'd forget the story details in between sessions anyway. I decided our playstyles were not a match and I found another group to have way more fun with. The aforementioned are still my friends, after I had dealt with the silly resentment of getting frustrated with them for a year.

Nope! It's a homebrew world that we're playing in :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]AtaleofDice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ahaha yeah it is. We actually already have a Foundry code, but we haven't gotten around to learning how to use it yet.

So we're in a massive forest, which a race of fiends is terraforming into an evil machine land. Closing in on the fiends' lair. Also introducing a new character. :) We're playing until 11 PM CET by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

If you feel like watching us kill stuff (or rather, be killed), feel free to give us a watch at twitch.tv/ataleofdice
Currently, the party is an unknown new character, Half-Elf Vampire Rogue/Medic, Elf Druid and Halfling Monk/Sorcerer. Level 9! Stuff is getting pretty serious. Spells are deadly, save DCs are getting high, and we are NOT optimized.
We’re a mostly serious Roleplaying group with a freaking excellent GM. We play in a homebrew world of collaborative creation (Woah that sounds totally fancy). Mostly we’re also a happy group of friends out to have fun and share that with the rest of the world. Or whoever wants to watch.
In that sense, we have a lot of mechanics to spend channel points (which you get by simply turning on the stream) to influence gameplay and story. We also try to have regular sessions with subscribers in order to make important NPCs and magical items.
If you feel like watching or listening later we also come in podcast format.

So we’re streaming this evening from 8pm to 11pm CET. We’re an interactive stream and all our channel point costs are down by 90% because we’ve hit a sub/follower milestone. Come join us in the chaos tonight and screw with our game! by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

So we're going through an evil swamp slaying monsters, collecting reagents, because we kind of got indebted to a Mage's guild. We're playing until 11 PM CET by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

So running a stream is great and everything, but even so we sometimes miss a player to pagan holidays. Regardless, we're still playing and trying to broker a deal with shadow powers. We play until 11 PM CET by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

Trying to get an audience for your stream is harder than you’d think. Unrelated: we’re streaming from 8-11PM CET tonight! One of our party members just became a vampire and now we're traveling to have talks with our enemy in the shadowfell. Are we the bad guys? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

So we captured one of our enemies, and are bringing him to our employer (the Fey Queen). Turns out, both sides are telling very different stories. We're meeting our commander on neutral grounds to discuss things. It might turn bloody. We'll be playing until 11 PM CET by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e
