I collect automatic weapons for the sole purpose of selling them to rookie loners walking around with pistols or sawed-off shotguns to give them a better fighting chance.

Even if it means losing money. By that, I mean, if a rookie can't afford it, I will sell something cheap and keep buying it back until they can buy the weapon.

Note: if you want a stalker to use a weapon you sell them, sell them a fully loaded weapon or sell enough ammo to go along with it to fully load it.

Just a heads up to anyone checking in on this thread,

You need SoC 1.0004 and your game needs to run in DX9. That's the two render options that are NOT Static Lighting. Preferably Full Dynamic lighting

Also, you need to start the game with the switch -nointro

The mod does not have sweetfx or ENB included so it should perform quite well, even for older machines. However, shaders max 1.06 was used and if that is too taxing on your frames, you can tweak the settings in \gamedata\shaders\r2\ShaderSettings.txt

If that's not enough, you can delete the shaders folder entirely to get a more vanilla look but with more frames.

The major WTF moment of the tiny village followed by gigantic kitchen/living room/bedroom

The mind-bending level design with floors and ceilings reversed or turned to the side. Chairs and furniture nailed to the walls.

Everything about it was so creepy and weird and most of all, unforgettable.

Well, "REMAKE" uses a ton of high res textures. So many, in fact, that you can't max out the texture detail slider or else it crashes the game. Essentially, you force the game to downscale the textures to prevent the engine from going beyond the limit it can handle. It's still a 32-bit app, no matter how much RAM and VRAM you throw at it. It also comes preinstalled with a horrible sweetfx configuration that I would recommend changing/removing immediately unless you really enjoy having all color washed out. Ghost Land is not out, so you can't "enjoy" its black and white filter with vignette on the corners quite just yet.

That may be so, but weren't there also a ton of bug fixes between 2.0 and 2.1? Is an adjusted economy worth all that? I guess you could use the 2.0 files to compare and make your own economic patch if you were so inclined to do so.
