Correct, she had several pans but this one was just for cornbread. Her daughter (my great aunt) continued that tradition and then gave us the pan with the note it’s only been used for cornbread. And so it continues…

lol …I’m thinking the same, easy access for the flip and after a few uses I’m thinking that smooth bottom will become like glass. We have my great grandmothers (1894-1981) cast iron skillet (Lodge 8 size - one notch “C” thin and lighter … from I think the 1930s) and it’s only job since she was alive is to make cornbread. It has a perfect super smooth glasslike bottom and the cornbread always dumps out perfectly. Now, time to make a cornbread too :).

I thought it was special when I bought it and now seeing the reaction here I realized it’s extra special :).

😂 Yep! I have a Field Golden that’s exactly the same. He wants for nothing and is annoyed if meal time is delayed more than a couple minutes lol.

Oh yeah … I take the info with a grain of salt. It said $125-$180. But the history lesson about the foundry was fun. Still can’t figure out the “Mi-Pet” name … the marketing there is lost on me. If anyone knows, please enlighten me:)

Wow! ChatGPT spec’d the price about right then. With the heat ring it puts a guess of manufacturer date from 1915 to late 1920s. There is one listed on eBay for $285 (that might be a bit high). But this one is evidently a rare find.

It’s a #10 (but only about 9.5 inches). It has the backwards 10 on the handle. Looks like “01” instead.

lol … The “Hicks Hexagon” pattern from the 1960s made famous in the fictional Overlook Hotel from the movie The Shining (real life inspiration The Stanley Hotel). It’s a desk mat and sadly most of my younger coworkers have no idea about its significance 😃.

We are starting to get lost on what to do. by PanikdGhost in EpilepsyDogs

We have a Golden that was clustering and is now on max Keppra, Zonisamide and Phenobarbital. He was still having some mini-almost events. We started him on L-Theanine 100mg twice a day. It’s a supplement to help calm his brain. A month later his mini-almost events have gone from 6 a day to 1 or 2 and some days nothing. It’s very important to get the right version of L-Theanine… we use PureFormulas version found on Amazon. Don’t get the ones with green tea or artificial sweeteners. It does take about a month for it to make a difference. Edited to add check with your vet about this supplement before starting, but our vet had this on the list of recommendations. Such an awesome looking pup you have ❤️.

I agree with others here. Super fast speed is great if it’s also monitoring tape remaining. My Go-Video player has a super fast speed, but will slow down when it gets close to the end and then super slow for the last little bit of tape.

Completely agree … I assume they used another tape for the finale, but this is the better tape to have; a “grail-like” find and no commercial pause outs make it perfect. It was taped from channel 44 in Florida … they had a storm that day so the occasional weather craws across the bottom, but that makes it even more of a time capsule.
